Kapitel 178: Wrapping Up the Case

***ALEX'S POV***

I had looked over at Jake when Richmond left. He was working on the last of the paperwork that he needed to finish for the case. At first, I thought that I would just leave him alone and let him work. I thought that I was just going to sit across the room and try to figure out what the hell had happened to this story. I didn't know how I had gotten from having sex with Jake the night that we got here to being kidnapped, then to staging a coup with the men that kidnapped me. And then, of course, it all led to Jake coming to my rescue, twice, Tony dying, and Richmond approving of his daughter's relationship with the FBI agent that she was dating. There was just so much that was happening that I didn't know what to think about it all anymore. In truth, I felt a little overwhelmed and like I needed to sit and rest.
