I face front and the blank space stares right back at me. My heart drums loudly and fast in my chest as though I'm going to panic. At home, I tried painting again but failed every time—not a splatter of paint found on the canvas. I don't know what's wrong. Why I couldn't create. I'm having an artist block.

Now I'm faced with a blank surface again. I lift my can in front of me and swallow the growing lump in my throat. I stand there for I don't know how long, but I don't press the cap.
