Kapitel 67: The perfect pawn

"So let me get this straight- this demon lord just takes over you and goes around killing things if it doesn't get what it wants?" The gang leader asked. I hadn't noticed before but the guy hadn't shaved in days- poking hair- awfully skinny face- when was the last time he ate?

Still at the warehouse- still on top of the crate.

The gangsters were pretty much on the ground, sitting, legs crossed.

Like they were in a village class or something.

"Umh huhh!" A vigorous nod.

As much as I tried to act like a kid- I somehow acted the opposite instead.

Yet these buffoons just rolled with it.

There were exactly seventeen of them. And though a gang, they weren't actually gangsters.

Rather- they were all ex-soldiers- who were supposedly kicked out of the army because they boycotted the war.

Of course, the war still happened and they just lost their jobs instead.
