He drove slowly toward the parking lot of the abandoned warehouse where he had agreed to meet with the Covenant witches. Some of his team had gone ahead of him earlier to scout the place, securing it by the time he arrived.

He did not want anything to surprise him, not when they were already in a precarious position. Alpha Grego seemed determined to continue with the wedding, convinced it was the right thing to do.

But he disagreed with him. He believed that Avana and her entire family might be in some form of a spell. The Prince might have done something to compel them to do his bidding.
