They barely had time to get themselves ready before they needed to open fire on the oncoming Bloody Dawn. The small building that they were in exploded with noise, as the four that still had ammo opened fire with fully automatic weapons that had been supplied along with the Hringhorni.
It was deafening, as the sounds reverberated off the nearby walls, echoing the already loud sounds of the weapons being fired. The bolts of energy that were fired from the battery powered weapons cut through the swarm of Bloody Dawn as they approached, but it seemed to do little to cut their numbers down.
Bodies landed on the ground, their various parts being thrown away from each other across a large area, one that progressively grew smaller as time went on. Like a fresh layer of paint over an old wall, the new body parts landed over the bodies that the miners had left during their battle, burying them to the memory of those that survived.
