Kapitel 114: Resilience

Perhaps the antlers held some special power and not everyone was equipped or entitled to handle such a powerful magical item. It was possible. Mariana did not know a whole lot about primitive cultures, but she was aware that the people who lived like this had different opinions about what was important and what was not. She had not studied anything like this tribe too closely in her life, and for this reason, she was endlessly fascinated by the bickering and the obvious distress that the antlers caused.

Someone tried to carry on with the preparations of the deer, but then an older woman apparently decided that this, too, was inappropriate and stopped the younger woman before she could do anything useful.

Mariana's attention went entirely towards the younger woman.
