Kapitel 115: I Didn’t Want to Forget

It was as if somebody suddenly dumped a bucket load of memories over my head. Bits and pieces of long-since forgotten pictures got summoned from where they were hiding for years— all because of the tortured expression on the face of the girl that I once knew.

'Who dared do that to our mate,' the monster that had been quiet for so long spoke inside of me. This never happened before. It was as if we were back to being two separate entities. I moved that thought to the side. Elizabeth was safe in my arms.

It felt like the competent General that I loved was about to shatter at any moment now, I couldn't even bring myself to lower the hand that she placed on her throat. I just waited patiently until it went down all by itself.
