Kapitel 146: No Rest for the Weary

With his shadowy wings and menacing aura, many of Dubhán's foes instantly regretted underestimating the Fae. The faction that served Metatron directly was so convinced of their supremacy over all other races that they did not expect to fight against a foe that not only was skilled in combat but could also manifest their deepest fears.

Dubhán had just successfully defended a seized battleship from drone shuttles. On board were hundreds of civilians who couldn't protect themselves. He and Alric were in charge of guarding the largest as it sailed through the sky. 

"I could use a break now," Dubhán muttered with a sigh. He dispelled his scythe and sat down at the edge to watch the cloud barrier beneath them. From up here, it looked treacherously peaceful, like soft cotton. 

From the stern, Alric took flight to join the Fae in his respite.
