Kapitel 39: Rooftop Nightbloom Garden

Even though The Underworld was shrouded in eternal darkness, its inhabitants had gotten crafty at growing plants. From simple solutions such as plant lamps to complex genetic engineering, helping plants thrive on artificial light. Thus, there were many "green" spots, some of which had evolved into wild-growing shrubs over many generations.

Alric had always thought the gardens and parks in town looked dreary because flowering plants were uncommon. Yet before his eyes, on this rooftop, was a garden full of flowers.

Amidst the sea of spider lilies, he spotted white purslanes that glowed softly. Bordering the garden were rose bushes with vividly yellow-colored flowers. At the center was a hammock-type couch in which Fiera took a seat, reclining happily like a child.
