Burning me on a cross was a failure. They were so shocked that they even stopped moving. When someone managed to move, I just had to run my mouth and shut them up again.
The king, his soldiers and general Louis are all still like statues. I look at Gwen.
"This is why I hate slow people."
"What can they do? Not many are actually as adaptive as you." (Gwen)
"You are one to talk! You were probably the only one who understood me. That's why you were never afraid of me even after all of that."
I remember the times I spent in school. Gwen was always with me. And I knew that she was crazy. So I acted crazy and we got along well. Trevor probably sees her as a perfect older sister. To me, she is just a normal girl with a few screw loose.
Even now, Trevor is trying his best to grasp the meaning of out conversation. I look at the living statues. They are still statues. Fine, I hate waiting.
I dispell their confusion by using mana to give suggestions to them. It's easy. I made their brains think that this is totally normal. This happened because they couldn't imagine what I said. I just had to trick them into thinking this is normal.
And mana sure is useful. <Spirit> could get the job done as well but why bother using that when I have mana. They are moving again.
"So, can I have your name? I don't know your name yet, your majesty."
I seriously don't know the king's name. I just asked him.
"You barbaric fool, how dare you ask your king for his name so casually?"
He is still going on about that. What should I do?
I am getting annoyed. I point my pointer finger at him and gather some mana at my fingertips. It's a tiny ball. Then I launch it at a velocity of 400 meters per second. That should be as fast as an assault rifle.
I went for his right leg. And as expected, it pierced through his right leg. It made a perfect hole. Blood hasn't spilled outside. Did the wound cauterize due to heat?
It took him a moment to realize that his leg was pierced. I cast Mute on him so his scream can't be heard. I look at Louis beside me.
"See, he was getting too full of himself. I am willing to act nice if he is being nice. I won't go along with any crap."
I explain my behavior. Because I don't want another casualty. Gwen is holding Trevor. Because Trevor almost fainted. And this guy is the hero? What a joke!
I heal the king. It took him a while to realize but he stopped rolling on the ground after he did. I cancel the Mute.
"I can speak again!"
He was relieved at that. But then he saw me and shrank back in fear.
"I won't ask for your name. Just tell me, who gave you the idea to send someone on my planet and conquer it?"
The situation isn't bad. It's horrible. The king who has been healed is again in disarray. Their minds are too weak. Adaptability is low as hell.
I had to stabilize their minds. This time, a used even stronger suggestion. He sobered up in an instant.
"Tell me, who gave you the oracle?"
"The king of heaven and of all gods, Jupiter, bestowed upon us the oracle. He told us to summon heroes from another world after reclaiming a star. I mobilized the spaceship he gave us to reclaim the star and summoned the heroes."
He gave an answer like a doll. So Jupiter really was involved from the beginning. Trevor looks at the king with disbelief. He didn't know that they were killed and summoned by the same party.
It's hilarious. General Louis has a doubtful look as well. Maybe he didn't know about it. But what is bothering me is another matter.
I look behind me to the edge of the training ground. There is someone over there, totally invisible. But I can feel his presence. His existence itself is giving him away.
"Come out, you aren't hiding properly."
I advise him. It would only waste more time if he continued doing that.
But the reply was something unexpected. I saw a man. He is certainly handsome and is muscular. He is wearing clothes that is shining. He has a leaf crown on his head. I think it was called laurel.
He charged at me with impressive speed and slashed at me with a sword. It didn't even scratch me. The sword broke immediately.
Before he could move away, I punched him in his gut. Due to suddenly punching him, I couldn't adjust my strength. I think it was at my full strength. Well, I am not using <Spirit> to enhance my body.
But he flew away after being punched and slammed into the wall. Was my normal punch that strong?
"Who was that?"
I ask myself that question. Because I don't know. General Louis came to his senses again and looked at the assailant. He is embedded into the wall like he always was there.
"Lord Apollo?" (Louis)
He said with a perplexed tone. Apollo? I remember the name. One of Jupiter's sons. God of songs and sun.
He wasn't even a fight. Am I really too strong or are they a bit too weak? I wait for Apollo to come back to his senses. Because, he is foaming from his mouth. I lightly healed him as well.
"Clive, you should stop pulling ridiculous stunts." (Gwen)
"It's not like I am doing it on purpose. It just happened. And, what should we do now?"
"Let's take it easy. How about you come inside the castle? You can meet others as well." (Gwen)
"No. I think I will go home. And you…"
I look at the king and he stood up at once when looked him in the eye.
"I am staying at Fiona's house. But don't cause her any trouble. If you have something to discuss, just send a message. No need to be so over the top."
He vigorously shook his head. I hope this makes them understand that it's pointless no matter what they do. But even so, why did I even bother going with this farce?
I was writing it for 4 days. I need grass.
