Kapitel 318: Does Dad love Kaley?

Owen's POV

Kaley and I walked hand in hand to the Alpha's hall. She had a perfect smile on her face and she tried as much as possible to stand upright and walk like a lady.

I guess she was trying to find dignity in her situation with her bloodied dress and her limping figure.

I guess she thought a smile and a straight posture could help mask the situation in which she was a captured Alpha.

"Are you alright?" I asked her.

She nodded. She didn't utter a word and her smile never wavered.

I watched her walk in front of me and this thought raced through my head.

What I wished for us was simple…I wished for friendship. I would like to be the light at the end of her tunnel.

I want us to be good friends.

For now, that will be enough.

And maybe in time my touch could make her turn crimson red in slight embarrassment and imprinted pleasure.
