When Isaac woke up, he was on a creaking broken bed in his room. More So than his body, Isaac felt like his head hurt more now.
"You are awake, Sir Isaac." the old butler Oliver said from the door, "Brunch has been prepared for you and the Lady."
"Do you know what happened? I can't remember anything when I get drun-oh." As soon as he stepped out of the room, he saw the manor missing, "...Sorry about that. I'll pay for what I destroyed… but please wait for a month -wait, I still don't know how much is which and if Zen is the only thing that I can use… can I trade you gold for it?"
The old butler shot Isaac a glare and smirked, "Please, don't worry about it; the Lady had already decided that you don't need to pay anything."
Isaac didn't argue. He had already used his money, so he had nothing to offer. But the question remained, 'Why does he look like he's holding in a shit.'
Either way, he's not going to poke the hive. Sometimes, it's better to keep one's curiosity to oneself.
Dining Area
Though it shouldn't be, Isaac found it weird that only he and Yulia were the only two people in the dining area. He didn't care about the missing roof, which is normal to him, but he had gotten so used to the chaotic mealtime that he actually missed it.
He wanted to start a small talk, but Yulia… was somehow even stiffer than she should be, "...you know, I can pay for the damages. It's not like I can't earn money from monster hunting.'
Yulia's cutleries stopped, "What do you mean?" she asked, confused.
"Aren't you pissed that I burned down your house? I don't remember much after telling you what I wanted to do, but I'm pretty sure I was the one who burnt the house down. But, please split the payment in installments."
"Oh? About that? I don't mind. Besides, it was me who started the barbeque fire, so I get most of the blame, and even after all that I-wait, did you say you don't remember what happened? Then that's good, you should just forget what happened that night… good, good… that means you forgot about being food poisoned. "
"Wait, what!? Food poisoned?"
"Huh? I… um." Yulia looked away. Her face flushed from embarrassment, her cheeks puffed from pouting, "Isaac… you survived… so you don't have to worry about it. You don't want to remember."
"Well, at least tell me what happ-"
"Moving on!" clapping her hands, Yulia chose to move the topic.
Isaac wanted to push further, but whatever happened the previous night… he could tell she did not want him knowing, 'She looks like she's ready to take it to her grave.'
Shrugging his shoulders, Isaac sighed, "Can you just tell me what the problem is? What's with the dreary atmosphere?"
"I have been summoned by the Knight Order of Justicar; they ask me to pay for the necklace by helping them in a huge Inquisition against a group of heretics. These heretics attacked a town, killed its Lord, and then took the Town Hostage." Yulia explained, "Usually when the Knight Order of a religion of a particular God moves, opposing religions made the killing in the name of their respective Gods to strengthen them and gain power. It's a power struggle between Gods and their faithful. The Knight Order of Justicar is under the God Julius, the God of Justice and Loyalty, who often responds to this incident. It's expected to be a clash of religions, maybe it is the Church of Yult, the God of Destruction, but this time, it's different."
"Different? How?"
"The ones who massacred the Town were not some religion, it was not Church of Yult, it was not the Orcs. They say that the one who appeared is actually an Anarchy Lord."
"An Anarchy!? Those guys actually exist!?"
Isaac could hardly understand the foreign words and jargon Yulia suddenly introduced. He's oblivious to Gods, what these portfolios meant, or what killing had anything to do with these almighty Gods getting power.
For all he knew, these things were foreign to someone from a World without a God. He was lukewarm at the news about Gods. He already killed one, and from what Eva and Dragil said to him, they were bad news for an aberration like him. However, at the mention of an Anarchy Lord, Isaac stopped eating.
"It appears you have Anarchy Lords in your world as well?" Yulia did not expect something like an Anarchy Lord would exist outside of Avalon.
"Know? Not exactly, but I've uncovered some things that had been passed down for millennia. Also, the one I know is not exactly called the Anarchy Lord, but just Anarchy. It was said that thousands of years ago, when the three continents were still together, it was said that the skies split open and a woman with three eyes and a thousand arms appeared to remake the world. The creature was so powerful that no one could defeat her. This creature referred to herself as the Anarchy." Isaac enthusiastically recounted what he knew.
This story had existed before the elven civilization. It had been translated into different languages, taken in by so many cultures, yet, the name Anarchy remained. It was even said that Anarchy was a God of Destruction, making her the only God to ever exist in Arcadia.
"Anarchy is a legend back in my world, and you're telling me there's such a thing as an Anarchy Lord? That's both amazing and scary." Isaac could feel his heart beating fast.
Yulia could see it in Isaac's eyes; he was screaming at her, begging her to point in the direction of the Anarchy. She smiled and asked, "I want to go, but the Envoy of Aether will arrive in a week, and I need to be there to ensure that nothing happens. The place of the Subjugation is just a few hundred kilometers away from the Tower of Merlin. How about it, Isaac, want to take my place in the Subjugation of the Anarchy Lo-"
"YES!"
With a child's enthusiasm behind his eyes, Isaac accepted her proposition without complaints.
Isaac wanted to see the being who almost destroyed his world.
