Kapitel 9: Test

Itachi heard the notification then paid it no mind, he was currently not in the best situation to open this so-called package. Itachi was however a little excited, he wondered what there could be inside.

As they walked through the mountain path, they ascended the mountain step by step.

After what seemed like hours they finally arrived in front of a mini-village, it was by the edge of the mountain, halfway up. The mountain peak could be seen in the distance.

In this small village-like place there were neat rows of bamboo houses on each side, the place was surrounded by towering trees and lush plants, it was like heaven on earth, in the middle of the location there was a mini fountain, and benches surrounding it. A few kids could be seen sitting around and chatting to their heart's content.

At the end of the rows of houses, there was an enormous pavilion, it had a massive sign at the top of the massive doors saying 'Academy'

Elder Lee saw Itachi and Bai Xiou Chun's dazed expressions and a smug smile appeared on his face, he was proud of his sect.

" Children this is the outer sect area, here you will take your first step to be a cultivator, it's also where your living quarters will be. As your realms progress you will naturally be allowed to enter the inner sect and inner area, cultivation resources are x10 more in the inner sect than that of the outer sect"

Itachi and Bai Xiao Chun nodded, elder lee saw this and continued speaking.

" The inner sect is where the core of the guild resides, they live just below the peak of the mountain. The higher you go up the mountain the richer the spiritual essence, hence the better it is for cultivation. At the peak is where the sect leader and the elders stay. It's also where I'm currently living "

" Who knows, maybe one day you'll climb up the ranks and reside with the leader and elders "

Bai Xiao Chun looked extremely excited as he listened to the elder, he was imagining himself standing at the peak and looking down on all living things, his eyes were getting brighter and brighter as he imagined further. In fact, he was even drooling.

Itachi and Bai Xiao Chun thanked the elder and then took the tokens, they then hurried to find their rooms, they looked around the neat rows of bamboo buildings for the number on the tokens, after searching for a while they finally found their living quarters, turns out they were neighbors.

Itachi strode forward and opened the door to his room, he looked around and saw a neatly put bed on the side, opposite the bed was a sink and cooking utilities, the room was quite small but it was enough. There was also a small garden beyond the room, connected to a door. The garden looked really clean too.

There were a few more objects like a wardrobe, and so on, Itachi briefly looked at them then nodded to himself. He looked at the bed again and in the center were some dark blue robes embroidered with golden dragons. It looked magnificent. These were the famous robes of the Nether sect.

Itachi was amazed by the quality of the robes, it didn't look cheap either. Itachi took off his clothes and then put the robes on, they fitted him perfectly. He looked like a true cultivator now!

Itachi patted his robes and then walked out of his dorms, at the same time Bai Xiao Chun walked out, they were neighbors so he also saw him.

Elder lee was waiting by the fountain and saw the two kids. He looked at Itachi then nodded, but when he looked at the approaching Bai Xiao Chun he was left stunned.

" Hey Hey Elder Lee, these robes are too small for me! I can barely walk! "

Bai Xiao Chun barely managed to walk, the robes were hindering him, and he looked like a massive balloon at this moment.

"I'll ask one of the workers to get you a new fit, you two follow me to the academy for now "

The two kids followed suit, on their way there they saw a bunch of other kids in similar robes, they were most likely the sect's new batch of recruits, just like Itachi and Bai Xiao Chun. There were dozens of kids walking toward the academy pavilion.

Each had expressions of worry, this was the most important day of their lives, depending on the quality of their spiritual root, it determined how their future would unfold.

When Itachi and co arrived at the pavilion they walked through the small gates and entered what seemed like a massive hall. In the middle of the hall was a palm-sized crystal ball, it looked average and dull.

Behind the crystal ball a few meters away there were 4 chairs, 4 men with dignified postures were seated, they were looking at the dozens of kids that entered through the main hall's doors with probing gazes.

" This new batch of recruits look promising "

One of them said.

" Indeed, iv heard some aristocrats have sent their kids this time around "

As the 4 elders conversed, the hall started to get even more packed, there were around 50 kids waiting in the hall. Amongst them were a few adult cultivators and elder Lee.

When the 4 elders saw elder Lee they briefly nodded at him in greetings then continued their conversations.

All of a sudden a person in a dark blue robe walked in from one of the entrances, he had a stern gaze and looked extremely strict.

He walked in front of the crystal ball and shouted at the top of his lungs.

" SILENCE! "

He even added some Qi to his voice, his voice reverberated in the hall and even traveled outside.

The kids talking came to an abrupt stop, and silence descended in the hall.

" I am your instructor Lu Tiantong, today is the opening ceremony, all of your talents will be measured! Pay close attention, depending on your grade, it will determine your future as a cultivator "

When the kids heard this, they instinctively gulped, their future was about to be determined by the instructor's words.
