The next morning, Ethan was a body of nerves as he planned how to approach the many people he had never spoken to before at school Whiles walking there. Hermes had offered to drive him to the place but he had refused. The thought of his mother being left with minimum security, and an unreliable person like Mr. Twist made him shiver in worry.

When he finally made it to school, the looks he attracted were enough to make him want to vanish, as he read the questioning looks of his mates who were no doubt wondering why he was walking to school today instead of appearing in Mr.Andrews' car like always.

He hurried his way past them and ignored the whispered gossip that he could pick up clearly all around him. He wouldn't have bothered with any of these people if he didn't have a strong desire to save his friends. Speaking of friends, where was Kirk? He should have been at school a long time ago, yet Ethan hadn't seen him among the people at the front.
