"So what are we going to do tomorrow? Are we running away or what?" Ethan asked the two men who eyed him in surprise. The three Protectors were having a late meeting Whiles Mrs. Brunson slept peacefully in her new room. Hermes had been the one who called the meeting in hopes that a viable plan for rescuing as many people as possible could be realized.

So their surprise was genuine when they heard the person who had prevented them from leaving the town in the first place now ask if they were going to abandon it.

"No, we aren't. Didn't we already decide not to abandon it? Or have you changed your mind at the last moment?" Hermes asked his apprentice.

"I don't know. Staying is beginning to look more dangerous with every passing minute. I won't lie, I am scared out of my head." Ethan confessed.
