Elsie's Point of View

  I ran through the darkness of the night, wiping the tears that were running down my cheeks, and only sobs could be heard. Why?? Why did he appear again?! I can't believe, after so long gone, he appeared in my life again. Even reality gave her the status of Jace's cousin, the person I love so much!

  Or had I gone too far in accusing Jace of conspiring with him to play a trick on me? Elsie, think clearly. If Jace doesn't love you and just plays with you like Devon used to, he won't be willing to rain in the rain to come to your house, accompany you all day when you're sick, and kiss you lovingly, I thought trying to calm myself down. Oh, I was so blinded by the trauma I'd been through that I couldn't think straight.

  My eyes caught the presence of someone's feet as I lowered my head and wiped my tears again. I stopped. Then with my heart racing faster than a few seconds before, I lifted my head.
