Kapitel 32: Graveyard (Rotten Ghoul)

After Hary explained the importance of [Double attributes]. The duo began their expeditions at the Graveyard.

Ling felt uncomfortable as he saw the miserable expression coming on Hary's face. He would like to comfort, but he didn't know what he have to say, so it ended up he gave him some time to think.

'I feel guilty since he's the one who bought this console. Also, if I'm wearing the same shoes as him, I will feel the same way. Double attributes, meaning raising my basic stats by doubled.' He muttered to his mind.

Swoosh!

Hary paused for a second as they reached the exact place where they can a new type of monster. "We are here, Ling. Get ready." He commanded him nonchalantly.

Ling can't respond as he was still thinking about him. So this time, Hary went to him and hardly tapped his shoulder.

"I already said that you must stop thinking about that." He said with a sigh before adding these words. "Yeah, I admit that I feel quite envious of your passive skill since it's coming to my mind if I'm the one who has that. But don't get me wrong, I am happy for you as you can't have those without your hard work."

The heavy ambiance before easily faded away after Hary broadly smiled at him.

"You are strong a ranker, Hary. Cheer up! Also, it's not like you if you act this way." Ling tapped his shoulder, "We are friends, aren't they? So we should help each other to get stronger."

"You're right, Ling! I should not jealous since we are friends. Sorry about that!" He slightly borrowed his head.

"That's right!"

Soon, the two of them glanced at the creature approaching them. This time the monsters doesn't occur under the tomb, to be exact, they were roaming in the area and waiting for the rankers to eat.

Huff...

As soon as the air blew, Ling immediately pinched his nose as he can't take the smell coming from the monsters. "I'm going to throw up." He muttered and darted his eyes at Hary. "What are they? They stink!"

[Whirlwind ]

To change the trajectory of the air, Hary created a small whirlwind 15 meters away from them. With that, the whirlwind would absorb air and lessen the strong smell heading to their noses.

"Those are the rotten ghouls. It had just a similar appearance to the Goblin, but they are way faster and stronger than them. You must be careful." He warned, then maintain a larger distance from them.

[A monster that had 6ft in height, a bald head, slim physique, sharp ears, sharp fangs, and it seemed their spines revealed on their backs. Those were the Rotten Ghouls known as for eating humans and drinking their blood.]

[Rotten Ghoul skill(s): [Slash], [Bite], [Dash], [Shapeshift], and [Blood lust].

[Blood lust]- by smelling human blood, the Rotten Ghoul's aggressiveness would increase, as well as its strength and agility. It would have a greater effect once they drink blood.

Ling removed the blue elevated screen after the quick scan. Well, the information given by the system quite helped him.

12 Rotten Ghouls came them at once, despite their height, they were hunched and using their thin dirty hands to move.

"Faster than the Goblins, huh? Let's see."

Based on the anime he watched, there were two ways how to kill those dangerous Ghouls. The first one was the sunlight, by getting hit directly by the sunlight their bodies would be burned as well as their eyes. The second way was cutting their heads, obviously. Hmm... Cutting their heads was lethal damage to a Ghoul.

Swoosh!

Soon, the monsters were charging them at once. However, Hary doesn't have any plan to let each one of them attain closer distance. So he opened his grimoire and cast a basic skill which was [Shuriken wind]. Of course, it was wind magic that had just the appearance of shuriken.

Swish! Swish! Swish!

Hary aimed that shuriken at all monsters. But unfortunately, he just hit 8 of them as his precision wasn't that high, especially, from the monsters who have high agility. On top of that, the tall trees that had no leaves were used by the monster as shields.

"As expected they still had the intelligence to use all things around us. However, they picked up the wrong opponent." Hary confidently smiled as he cast new skill after another.

[Hell flame!]

And all of a sudden, Hary was breathing fire and even though it doesn't land direct contact, still it made the monsters from engaging. Yes, the monsters' eyes were sensitive that feels like the sun was close to their eyes.

When Hary finished casting his skill, he looked at Ling. "It's your turn, Ling. Kill them." He said that looked like he was certain Ling can kill them without a problem. 'You should get stronger as much as possible as that time was about to come. I hope you and your family are ready when that time comes.'

Even though Hary saw the fast growth of Ling, still, he stick with his plan by giving the last hit to kill the monsters. Since if he wanted, he can burn all of them with his tremendous fire, causing them to die in an instant.

Since fire burned the trees and the dried leave fell to the ground, it was natural for the fire to last.

He narrowly nodded his head, then didn't make any second thought to attack the monster. First, he bent his knees, and cast the [pounce] skill. Yes, he ran through the three to pass at the straight huge fire in front of him.

When he landed the monsters were still blinded due to the light given by the fire. So he [dash] to them and utilizing the [Stab] skill.

Swish!

Argh!

Just like that, the keen knife pierced the monster's neck and made the Ghoul groan in agony. Of course, Ling anticipated the monster would attack because of this monster's instinct, that's why he pushed his knife much deeper to the point his hands entered its rotten flesh.

Splash!

Green blood splashed on the dried surface along with the monster's head. After a few seconds, the monster staggered before its body fell.

"Hahaha! Bring it on!"
