Kapitel 297: Felicitous Memories VI

"Dad, I'm back, and I have ice cream" said Natasha as she walked into her house with a smiled and she walked to Larry's office.

"Well hello Tasha, Ice cream?" asked Larry as he smiled and Natasha showed him the two plastic bags in her hand.

"Yes Ice cream, Dom and I went out to get ice cream, I got you your favourite, plain vanilla" said Natasha as she laughed.

"Are you trying to say that I am plain Tasha?" asked Larry as he laughed.

"Well no dad, I said nothing like that at all, but you are the one thinking it though" said Natasha as she laughed and Larry laughed.

"So you and Dom went out?" asked Larry as he smiled.

"Mhmm, yes we did Dad, and well Grandfather was furious, Dom may or may not have evaded the work he was supposed to do, and well… I just wish him luck, because he will need it" said Natasha as she laughed and Larry smiled as she walked to him with a plastic ice cream bowl.

"Dad, you want some ice cream?" asked Natasha as she smiled.

"Maybe later Tasha" said Larry as he smiled.

"Okay, I'm going to my room, I will see you later Dad" said Natasha as she smiled.

"Alright Tasha, see you" said Larry as he smiled and Natasha walked out of his office upstairs to her room.

"Dude, don't come in here" said Michael as he whispered and he spoke to Dom from the upstairs window.

"Grandfather is furious, he's going to tear your hair out if he sees you in his rage" said Michael as he grimaced and he shook his head, he had even thought that with what Dom did, he would not return back home today.

"Oh come on, he's not that in rage now is he….?" Asked Dom as he realized that he was truly in big trouble, if there was anything that Ernest hated most, it would be people disobeying him.

"Just go, before he forgets that you are his Grandson" said Michael.

"Oh it can't be that bad, besides, I am a full grown man, how in the world would I be running away from my own Grandfather?" asked Dom.

"I will be fine, I brought him some ice cream, maybe that would cool him off" said Dom.

"Well good luck with that bro, and if you die, just know that I warned you" said Michael as Dom laughed and he shook his head as he walked to the kitchen door and he opened it as he walked into the kitchen.

"Grandfather" called Dom as he walked out of the kitchen as he looked for Ernest, he knew where he would be, so Dom went straight to his study.

"Grandfather" said Dom as he opened the door of Ernest's study as he saw Ernest sitting in his wheel chair with nothing but rage written all over his face.

"Grandfather, you cannot possibly be angry with me for going out?" asked Dom.

"Dominic, I expected more from you, more responsibility, when I made you CEO, I was sure that you were mature enough to handle the position, but what sort of CEO leaves important work pending, and gives it to his father to handle it for him? What kind of boy are you? I raised you better than that, when I made your father CEO, he did not even dare come to me to ask for help, why are you so spoilt?" asked Ernest in nothing but rage.

"Grandfather, I'm not spoilt, far from it, you did raise me well, and my parents did as well, I have always listened to you, always, you say go get a Business degree, I got it, you told me to be focused, I am focused, Grandfather I'm only 25" said Dom.

"So your age means that you should run away from responsibility?" asked Ernest.

"I am not running away from responsibility, I only went out with Natasha to get ice cream, I doubt you can call that running away, I just needed a break Grandfather" said Dominic.

"Grandfather, I don't know it all, I am new to this world of business, all the theory that I learnt and am still learning does not really come into action until the need arises, Grandfather I don't know it all, my father did not know it all, and you surely did not know it all when you started this business, you don't expect me to be a business guru overnight" said Dom.

"I know that you have great expectations for me, and I want to make you proud, but you do not possibly expect me to work all day and do nothing else" said Dom.

"So what are you trying to say Dominic, go straight to the point" said Ernest as his anger seemed to have subsided.

"Grandfather, I just ask you to be a little more lenient with me, the way that you are with everyone else, and also let me catch a break, it's not a crime for me to ask my father to help me, after all, he's not retired, he just stepped down from the position of CEO, but he is still very much a big part of the company" said Dom.

"He knows the ins and outs of the company like the back of his hand, he has been managing it for the past years hasn't he? And I want to learn from him as well, so don't be angry when I ask him for help, I do it because I do need help and direction, and isn't that why you and dad are here?" asked Dom as Ernest sighed, he hated that he trained this boy to put his views across so well, it was like he had pacified him.

"Alright fine Dominic, fine, you should have never attended debate club in school" said Ernest as he sighed and Dom laughed.

"Relax Grandfather, getting upset will do you no good, so I brought you some nice, cold ice cream, to cool you down, and I also bought everyone some ice cream as well" said Dom as he smiled.

"Give it" said Ernest as Dom laughed and he gave Ernest the plastic bag that had a container of ice cream In it.

"You see boy, I would not have gotten worked up if you didn't go out in the first place" said Ernest as he ate the ice cream and Dom shook his head.

"But you are eating the reason why I went out in the first place" said Dom.

"Don't make me hit you boy" said Ernest as he glared at Dom and Dom laughed.

"You are lucky that I have been craving something sweet, or else" said Ernest as Dom laughed.

"Oh course Grandfather, of course, please don't get so worked up next time, it's not good for your health" said Dom as he smiled.

"Whatever you say, just don't give me a reason to get worked up Dominic" said Ernest as Dom smiled.

"So you said that you went out with Natasha?" asked Ernest.

"Yes Grandfather" said Dom as he nodded and he smiled.

"You are becoming a bad influence, influencing my sweet, nice Natasha badly, you see how you dragged her to go buy ice cream with you" said Ernest as Dom sighed internally.

"Of course Grandfather, I am the big bad wolf" said Dom as he laughed and he shook his head.

"Anyway, onto business, I want you to call the legal department, let them draft up a partnership contract" said Ernest as he ate his ice cream.

"Alright Grandfather, how many shares do you want to give them?" asked Dom.

"A considerable amount, they are like family, which reminds me, I have an idea, once Natasha finishes school she can come and work for the company, it would be hers as well anyway" said Ernest.

"I don't know about that Grandfather, you have to ask her yourself and see what she says" said Dom.

"Hmm" said Ernest.

"Anyway where is everyone?" asked Dom.

"Your three accomplices are upstairs, your father is in his study, your mother and Louise are in her room, and Alfred is in the music room" said Ernest.

"And you are here all alone?" asked Dom.

"Well everyone left me alone once they saw the mood that you put me in" said Ernest as Dom laughed.

"No one cares about me in this house" said Ernest.

"That's not true Grandfather, we just know how furious you can get, and we would rather remain neutral when you do" said Dom as he laughed.

"Anyway my dearest Grandfather, the only one that I have, I am going to give everyone their ice cream, see you later" said Dom as he smiled and he walked out of Ernest study.

"Oh all these young people of today, fun, fun, fun, they want to have fun, you need to be goal oriented in this life, focused" said Ernest to himself as he muttered under his breath, but then he thought of something that made him smile.

Natasha knocked on the door of Ernest's study as she received a reply to come in.

"Hello Grandfather, you asked to see me?" asked Natasha as she smiled and she walked into Ernest's office as she closed the door behind her.

"Yes my dear, come in, have a seat" said Ernest as he was sitting at his desk and he smiled.

"Thank you Grandfather" said Natasha as she smiled and she sat down across Ernest.

"How are you Grandfather?" asked Natasha as she smiled.

"I am doing well my dear, and how are you?" asked Ernest as he smiled.

"I am good Grandfather" said Natasha as she smiled.

"That's good, are you just arriving from school?" asked Ernest.

"Well yes, I decided to come here first before I go home" said Natasha as Ernest smiled.

"So what is it Grandfather?" asked Natasha as she was curious.

"Oh my dear, I actually have something very important to discuss with you" said Ernest as he smiled.

"What is it Grandfather? Is something wrong at the company? Or is it something else?" asked Natasha in worry.

"The company is fine dear, there is no need to worry yourself" said Ernest as he smiled and Natasha sighed in relief.

"What I actually want to discuss with you, is something personal" said Ernest.

"Personal how Grandfather?" asked Natasha as now she was confused.

"Do you have time to listen to what I have to say?" asked Ernest.

"I am all ears Grandfather" said Natasha as Ernest smiled.

"And that my dear Is what I think…" said Ernest as he finished speaking and he looked at Natasha who was very quiet.

"What do you think?" asked Ernest as Natasha was at a loss for words.

"My dear, say something" said Ernest.

"Grandfather I… I am at a loss for words, I don't know what to say" said Natasha as she looked at Ernest.

"Then say what is on your mind dear, that is the only way you will be able to communicate your thoughts" said Ernest.

"Well firstly Grandfather I… I… I think that this is crazy, it's not a good idea at all, it's bizarre I… I am sorry if what I said came out as rude" said Natasha as she apologized and Ernest smile.

"Not at all my dear, no need to apologize" said Ernest as he smiled, that was why he liked Natasha so much, she was always so honest, she said what was on her mind, the truth.

"Oh Grandfather, what you said, I have never thought in that direction before… you… you want me to marry Dom??" asked Natasha as now that she said it out loud, it sounded even worse, and weirder than when Ernest first mentioned it.

"Yes my dear, I do, I believe that you both are a perfect match" said Ernest as he smiled.

"With all due respect Grandfather, I beg to differ, Dom is like a brother to me, I don't see him like that, I don't like him, not at all… so it's weird for you to suggest that we get married, have you even asked Dom about this?" asked Natasha.

"I know what he will say about this, all I need is your opinion" said Ernest.

"Well Grandfather no… I don't like this idea at all… it's strange, I'm not even done with school yet, marriage is the last thing on my mind right now, and even if I was to get married, I wouldn't get married to Dom… it would just be too weird, I've known him since I was a child, I… I don't think I can see him in any light other than a brother figure and my friend" said Natasha.

"My dear, I do think that you are right, but you can learn to love Dom, he is a very loveable person" said Ernest as Natasha sighed.

"Grandfather no… not at all, not like that, it's just so weird, Dom of all people, of all men, I just don't like the idea" said Natasha.

"Oh my dear, I understand, I am sorry for bringing this up… I just thought well, I have always wanted to see my Grandson get married before my eyes, I am not getting any younger you know, very soon, I might pass, and I want to see my family complete" said Ernest as Natasha as she kept quiet.

"I always considered you part of my family, and I would like you to be my granddaughter in law, my Mary always liked you, and I did as well, I am sure that if she was still with us, she would have loved to see you and Dominic together" said Ernest as he sighed and Natasha just looked at him, she did not know what to say here.

"Grandfather, I don't know what to say, you surprised me today with what you said" said Natasha.

"I am sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable" said Ernest.

"It's fine Grandfather" said Natasha as she sighed.

"My dear, you do not have to make a decision now, you can go think about it, and when you are sure of your choice, you can tell me what it is" said Ernest.

"I will do that Grandfather" said Natasha.

"Thank you for considering that my dear" said Ernest as he smiled and Natasha nodded.

"Grandfather, I have to go now" said Natasha as she stood up.

"Alright dear, take care" said Ernest as he smiled and Natasha nodded as she walked out of his office.

Natasha walked into her house as she saw her father watching tv in the living room.

"Tasha, you are back, how was school?" asked Larry as he smiled.

"Fine Dad… " said Natasha as she smiled.

"Is something wrong Tasha?" asked Larry as he could notice something off.

"No Dad, not at all… nothing Is wrong, I actually have an assignment due tonight, I have to put in the finishing touches, I will see you later dad" said Natasha as she smiled.

"Alright dear" said Larry as Natasha nodded and she walked away, Larry was worried, he knew that Natasha was acting strangely, and she did not want to tell him what happened, it made him feel concerned.
