Kapitel 39: Better now
"So, my baby have you finished all your homework?" asked Natasha as she looked at Joy.
"Yes Mommy, I did" said Joy as she smiled brightly.
"Me and Daddy did my homework together yesterday" said Joy.
"That sounds good my baby" said Natasha as she smiled.
"Yes Mommy" said Joy.
"And Miss B still is not well yet" said Joy.
"Yes, I hope she gets better soon" said Natasha, which reminded her that she still had something important to discuss with Miss B concerning Joy.
"My baby, mommy is going to go out again today" said Natasha.
"Awww mommy" said Joy as she looked sad, her mother had been going out more often nowadays.
"But don't worry my baby, I only have to leave at 2pm, so until then, we will spend the entire day together, okay my baby??" asked Natasha as she smiled.
"Okay Mommy" said Joy as her face lit up and she smiled.
"Mommy where are you going today?" asked Joy, she was curious on why her mother had been going out so much lately.
"Well my baby, I am going to meet my very good friend Pete" said Natasha.
"Mommy who's Pete?" asked Joy.
"Well my baby, you have never met him before, because he is always busy with his job" said Natasha.
"Do you want to know what his job is?" asked Natasha and Joy nodded.
"Well Pete is a police officer, which means that he gets to shoot people, and arrest bad people" said Natasha as she laughed.
"That is so cool mommy" said Joy.
"Being a police officer sounds so cool" said Joy.
"Oh it is my baby, but it is a very serious job" said Natasha as she smiled.
"I even promised Pete that I would bring him to meet you" said Natasha as she laughed.
"Do you want to meet your Uncle Pete my baby?" asked Natasha.
"Yes Mommy" said Joy as she nodded her head, she wanted to meet a police officer, she had never met one in real life before, she had only seen them on Tv
"Well alright my baby, I will see when we can go visit him" said Natasha.
"Maybe we can see him this Saturday" said Natasha
"Okay Mommy" said Joy as she smiled.
"And can daddy come with us?" asked Joy
"I am not sure about that my baby, you know that your father is always very busy" said Natasha a she made up an excuse, and she was sure that Dom would have said the same.
Dom and Pete were not the best of friends, in fact they despised each other, and Natasha was sure that if they had to be in the same room together, they would end up fighting, and beating each other up seriously.
Pete's reason for disliking Dom was perfectly reasonable to Natasha, but Natasha could not get why Dom disliked Pete, he never liked him, even when things were not this bad between them.
"Awww well okay Mommy" said Joy
"Maybe Daddy can come with us next time" said Joy.
"Yes my baby, maybe next time" said Natasha, even though deep within her she knew that there was not going to be a next time.
"Well my baby, why don't you go and watch Tv?" asked Natasha.
"I need to do something very quickly, and then I will be right back" said Natasha.
"Okay Mommy" said Joy as she smiled, and she pushed her dining chair out.
"See you soon my baby" said Natasha as she smiled.
"See you mommy" said Joy as she smiled and walked out of the dining room.

"Yes I know…" said Lexi as she was on the phone with someone, she was outside the house in the garden.
"I am aware of the situation, and I will get the money for his medication soon, just please give me some time" she said
"Look Sweetie, I know you are trying your best and I appreciate that, but now more than ever we need some money" came the voice of an elderly woman from the other side of the line.
"Mom, I know, I know that we need the money, but I will have to get my salary for this month first" said Lexi as she sighed, she lied.
"Alright then sweetie" said the woman.
"Anyway, how are things are work?" asked the woman.
"They are fine mom" replied Lexi.
"That is good my dear" said the woman.
"Yes, look mom, I have to get back to work now" said Lexi.
"I will talk to you later" said Lexi.
"Alright then sweetie" said Lexi.
"Bye mom" said Lexi as she cut the call, she looked down at the ground and she sighed as she went on her way.

"Hey" said Mason as he walked into the kitchen.
"Hi" said Amalia as she turned to look at him.
"I come in peace" he said as he waved his hands, he knew that Amalia could as well report him for disturbing her, seeing as she had made it very clear that she wanted absolutely nothing to do with him.
"I just want to know how Lexi is doing" said Mason.
"She is better now, at least she has stopped crying" said Amalia as she cleaned the kitchen counter.
"It is just so terrible that she has to suffer like this" said Mason.
"Yes that is true" said Amalia.
"But you know that she deserves this in a way" said Amalia as she looked up at Mason.
"I know that she does, but she is still our friend, we have to look out for her" said Mason.
"I find it impossible to do that, when she does not even look out for herself" said Amalia.
"How can you say that??" asked Mason.
"I am only saying the truth am I not?" asked Amalia.
"Yes, but you say it so harsh, as if you want nothing at all to do with her" said Mason.
"Look Mason, Lexi needs to learn her lesson" said Amalia, after she had spoken with Natasha, she could see more clearly, she did not know what exactly Lexi had said to the Madam to make her so angry as to give her such a harsh punishment, but she knew that Lexi had a sharp tongue, which meant that she insulted the Madam very badly.
Amalia was even sure that the Madam was a good woman, because she could have as well fired Lexi and not even give her a slight punishment, but she let her retain her job, and Lexi should have been grateful for that.
"Sure she does, but you say it in such a mean way" said Mason.
"What is going on between you two?" asked Lexi as she walked into the kitchen.
"Ahh Lexi, there is nothing going all, we were just talking that's all" said Mason
"Yes Lexi, we were just talking about something that is not important" said Amalia
"Oh okay then" said Lexi, ever since that faithful day she overstepped her boundaries, Lexi had changed, she was no longer loud or noisy, she only spoke when she was spoken to and she did not open her mouth anyhow.
It seemed that this punishment of hers had really humbled her down, if someone had seen how Lexi used to behave, they would have thought that she had changed into a totally different person now.
"Yes" said Amalia.
"Anyway" said Amalia.
"Lexi, Alfred as me to tell you that you should clean the windows in the east wing today" said Amalia.
"Okay" said Lexi as she walked to the cupboard she brought out a metal bucket along with a red cloth.
"I will see you two later" said Lexi as she walked away to do her duties.
"See you" said Amalia and Mason as Lexi left, they were shocked, Lexi looked so quiet and timid.
"The Madam really is dangerous" said Mason out loud and Amalia just remained quiet.

"Could you work any slower??" asked Charlie as he groaned and Dom just chuckled.
"I am sure that you are doing this on purpose" said Charlie
"Mhmm right" said Dom.
"No no, I am tired of waiting, let us go out for lunch now" said Charlie.
"It's only 12pm" said Dom.
"Exactly!!" said Charlie.
"It is only 12pm in the afternoon… the time for lunch" said Charlie.
"Let's go already, I am starving" said Charlie.
"Did you not eat breakfast today?" asked Dom.
"No I was saving my appetite to eat at lunch time, since you are obviously paying" said Charlie.
"Wow what a friend you are" said Dom
"You are supposed to be trying to save me money and not spend all my money" said Dom as he laughed.
"Nine, do you believe this guy??" asked Dom as he laughed.
"What can we expect from him?" asked Nine.
"He is a glutton after all" he said as Dom laughed.
"I take an offence to that" said Charlie as he frowned.
"Well okay okay, before you get more offended let's go" said Dom as he stood up.
"Lia texted me the address of the Restaurant already" said Dom as he looked at his phone.
"What a saviour she is" said Charlie as he laughed.
"Yeah yeah let's go already" said Dom.
"I'm driving" said Dom.
"Be my guest" said Nine as he threw the car keys at Dom and he caught the keys.
…
"Hey guys, were you waiting long?" asked Lia as she walked over to the table where Nine, Dom and Charlie were sitting, the restaurant was not too full at this time of the day.
"No not too long" said Dom as he stood up and Lia gave him kiss on the cheek, she was wearing a red dress today.
"Hey Charlie" said Lia as she gave him a kiss on the cheek.
"Hi Lia" said Charlie as he smiled.
"Hi Nine" said Lia as she smiled and kissed him on the cheek.
"Lia" said Nine as Lia sat down, Nine looked like he did not want to be here at all, but they all knew that he was happy to be here, he just did not show it.
"The food here is excellent" said Lia as she smiled.
"I will be the judge of that" said Charlie as Lia laughed.
They all placed their orders and they were busy talking, when they heard the voice of someone who made them all surprised.
"Hey guys, long time no see" came the voice of the man as Nine, Charlie, Dom and Lia all turned to look at him in utter shock.
