She smirked at him, clearly toying with him because she knew exactly what would piss him off. 

"Why not? You broke a direct order from me. I'm having a terrible time trusting you again. You don't get to give me a lame excuse that you're only thinking about my well-being for we both know that it's shit. You lied to me because of her not because of me. There was no other reason."

Mariano clenched his teeth to stop himself from answering back. He knew from past experience that the more he reasoned out to her the more she would be obnoxious. His sire can be self-absorbed especially when she started joining social media and decided that she wanted to be a supermodel.

She is one of the highest-paid supermodels nowadays and she has men, left and right, doing everything she wants without lifting a finger.
