"Um?" He cocked an eyebrow up, staring down at her and Jade gulped. In this moment, she actually let her nervousness and fear show.

Jade shyly looked down. "I did not want to burden you... I was trying to see what it meant to be the Luna."

This was the card she was going to use. An alpha could never not trust his Luna and all she had to do was manipulate him.

A bitter feeling rose inside her heart and but she squashed it down.

Malfrid, who appeared to be more Alpha than her mate, did not believe her word. "Do tell me about that."

"I am your mate," she chuckled nervously. "I should know about these things. So..."

Looking up at him, she found him to be completely void of facial expressions. Damnit! He did not believe her. She had to target something that would hit him in the centre.
