Caspian turned his head to the other side and answered Anastasia while hiding his tears, “Spend the remaining time with your family. This gloomy place isn’t the right place for you to spend your last precious months.”
“But you are my family now!” Anastasia instantly protested.
She hurriedly knelt on the cold wet floor covered in blood while avoiding stepping on the last victim of Caspian who now lay dead right beside her.
She gently grabbed Caspian by his chin and made him face her.
His eyes looked bloodshot by now.
She drew in her brows and said after gulping dryly, “I understand if you need some days to calm your anger toward me. But you were begging me not to leave just a while ago. Please, don’t change your mind like this.”
“You cannot send me away so easily, Caspian,” she firmly said while looking directly into his eyes.
