Fragments of memory came to me like a rolling stone. 'A boy riding a pony, attended by his equestrian.'
The rest are blurry.
"Abuelo I've met the King!?"
He smiled and nodded slowly.
"And my dear the King is dying. He needs our help."
"His brother is trying to marry his daughter from a concubine to his grandson, that is for his brother to instill power and influence to the crown prince, The King's son died of illness, as what they said. But only a fool would believe that. And right now his grandson is the next target, The Crown Prince needs a wife or else he will not have a choice but to marry that woman,"
Disbelief was in Yanna's face, surely the story is emphasizing, but she? as the last bargain? it's not just right. She wanted to marry the man whom she loves and not because she needed to help Abuelo's friend, despite him being the King. Okay, he must have been friends with this prince once, but she was just like a kid back then!!, and that was eons ago, she's like what now? 25!
She wanted to protest so bad, but the look on his Abuelo's face is something you cannot decline. He was there to take care of him. So what if he'll get worse if she said no?
So with a sigh, she came close to her Abuelo and accepted the offer.
"Yes Grappy, I will marry the Prince"
The last thing she knew she was boarding a private plane to England. She's not even sure if what she's doing is logical. She was supposed to take good care of her Abuelo. Yeah sure his Abuelo is in some sort of a dilemma together with an old friend, why by the way who just saved his life twice. And for his Abuelo not to worry, she agreed to his request.
Which she kind of regrets now. She was hoping she can turn back time and maybe refuse the request and maybe they can sort out some other ways to get through this problem. Or maybe she can start jumping out of this plane while everyone was busy in their newspapers which by the way they've been doing since they left their hometown.
