Revenge here, revenge there. 

Many people were thinking of Wolfram's group. 

It wasn't just Sheila's bunch but several others in the many villages they found themselves in. 

No one had any double thoughts on showing gratitude to Wolfram. 

Some even felt they might've lived better lives if taken into slavery by wealthy men or women. 

You say he freed them and gave them the best options... Then why did they feel something lacking? 

The more they thought about it, the more they felt Wolfram nosy.

Did they ask him to rescue them? Did they ask for his help? No!

So they didn't owe him a thing.

Many thought of how to come up with various stories when heading for the reward money. But though they were greedy, they were all that blind to the dangers should they go in and make a report.
