There went Nicasi's chance at destroying that thing without exposing himself.

Oh, well. He was tired of waiting, anyway. And he was really tired of the sound of its voice.

Ready to shut the Creature up once and for all, Nicasi slowly stepped out from behind the tree, eyes never leaving his target now that it had noticed him. He kept his paces steady despite the damage to his leg, refusing to give the thing the satisfaction of seeing him limp.

He held his magic at the ready, a hint of scarlet swirling through the white-hot glow of concentrated energy where it waited over Nicasi's open palms.

"There you are." The Creature spoke to him from behind the shield of Mallin's body, smiling the whole time as if welcoming an old friend. "Mallin and I have been expecting you. I think you are a gift for me. Isn't that nice of him?"
