Kapitel 24: Chapter 24 : Four Out Of Ten, That's My Rating For You

The girl put the dagger on Jin's neck and said as she pointed at the ring on his finger.

"Tell me, what do you have inside? Do you have enough to buy your life?"

In a weak voice, almost whispering, Jin answered.

" four...."

"Four what, four hundred silver, four thousand silver," Faye asked while looking at Jin sarcastically.

* cough cough *

Jin coughed before saying, "Four out of ten, that's my rating for you."

Jin answered her in a clear and audible voice as he grabbed her wrist that was holding the dagger and tightened his grip on it.

*Uh*

A moan came out of her mouth when he tightened his grip on her hand, his grip was so strong that she could feel the bones of her hand being crushed, the dagger fell from her hand, and then he pushed her hard, making her fall on the ground.

Her mind couldn't understand what was happening now. The young man who had drunk the poison in front of her eyes had no signs of exhaustion or weakness on him. She didn't know that his body was resistant to almost all poisons due to the Poison Nebula Technique.

The Poison Nebula Technique was the most powerful poison technique. However, it was a harmful technique that didn't differentiate between enemy and friend and didn't fit Jin's style, so he gave it up.

The girl tried to get up and run away, but she could not move her legs. A strange and unpleasant feeling was running through her, the feeling that her muscles were numb and stopped working. It was the feeling of paralysis. "No way, you poisoned me? When did this happen? When did you find out about me?" the girl screamed, looking at Jin in disbelief.

"That's why I give you a four out of 10. That's disappointing. The first assassin who came for my life in this timeline is that stupid, since you're curious how I found out, I'll tell you. First, what would make any girl wants to be friends with a weak, arrogant, and rude guy like me? Second, you arrived after me, and I did not see you presenting the examination scroll to the elder. Your goal was only to get close to me. Third, since you know that I am good at some magic, at least try to control the illusion aura that shines from you."

Jin picked up the dagger from its blade, avoiding holding it from the handle, then she found out how she had been poisoned. The poison was on the dagger's handle. He pretended to drop it to lure her into using it.

She started shivering in fear. A moment ago, she thought everything was under her control, but now she was at the mercy of who should have been her prey. Her mind still couldn't understand it.

'How could someone be so observant?, How did he turn the table on me? How did he lure me into carrying the poisoned dagger?' And how is he still standing after being poisoned?'

All these questions crossed her mind when she saw the terrifying smile on Jin's face. Then, he raised his foot and hit her knee with all his power.

*crack*

*Ahh...ahh*

The sound of bones shattering was heard, followed by a loud scream. This kind of poison paralyzes the body but does not stop the pain.

The kick completely broke her knee, and while the girl was biting her lip in an attempt to stop herself from screaming and desperately trying to bear the pain, Jin tilted his head as he watched her body change, with the pain that was overwhelming her, staying disguised using illusion magic was impossible.

Under the white smoke appeared a woman in her thirties, short, pale with dark circles under her eyes, her yellow teeth still biting her lip.

"After thinking, I will add another point to your acting prowess, five out of ten, not bad. You are on the same level as my second brother, whom I killed in a similar way."

The paralyzed lady in front of him, who could do nothing but scream, began in despair to beg for mercy and sympathy for forgiveness.

"Please, have mercy on me, I have an internal injury caused by a great magician, an injury that does not heal, and its pain does not stop. All I wanted was some money for painkillers. I was blinded by greed."

Jin gave her a cold look and spoke sarcastically.

"Did you forget that you poisoned me and wanted to hear my screams? It seems I was wrong about you. You don't look like my second brother, he didn't beg for his life, and since you have lost, you will die. That's the first rule of the assassin's world."

Then he shook his head and said

"The question remains: will you tell me who sent you so I can finish you up quickly? Or would you prefer that I flay your skin and remove your bones, leaving the wild beasts eating your meat while you're still alive?"

'He will do it. He will really do what he says.'

His voice was deep, talking to her soul, his serious facial features when he spoke, making her sincerely convinced that he would do it, coldly and very calmly, threatening to dismember her and leave her a living corpse to be messed with by monsters. Every bit in her body was trembling as she thought about the monsters that the smell of blood would bring, not mentioning the pains she would suffer, throughout the years of her life and against all those she faced, she had never met someone with killing intent as intense as him, even the mage she fought before was incomparable with this fourteen-year-old kid in front of her, she had completely lost to this white-haired demon.

"The one who sent me is the guard, Singh. He is one of those responsible for reducing the number of participants. He would have made much money from it. However, you screwed up his plans and insulted him in front of everyone."

Jin shook his head and said with disdain.

"He did hire a killer for such a ridiculous reason. What a narrow-minded person, ah, by the way, the poison in your body is deadly, and you won't live... Ha, it looks like she's dead. Well, It doesn't matter.

Jin stared at the lady, and it seemed that the poison had killed her faster than he had expected. He drew a magic circle on her body, burning her body, leaving only ashes behind.

"I have a race to win. I wasted a lot of time."

Immediately, Jin took out a magic scroll and recited some spells until a giant red eagle appeared out of nowhere, with an ornate black saddle on his back. Jin jumped on the eagle's back to fly towards the finish line.

Early in the morning and before exam time, Jin found a shop that sold tamed beasts. Best of all, he didn't need to take the beast with him or take care of it. These beasts live in a nature reserve created by tamers. And through the teleportation magic drawn on the scroll, he can summon his tamed beast whenever he wants.

Jin hadn't expected that he would need to summon the Red Eagle so quickly. However, he was happy now because he did buy it, even though it had cost him quite a bit.

Because of the time he had wasted with the assassin lady, he had no desire to waste any more time with the magic students' barrier in front of him. He reached the finish line in a few minutes and got off from the eagle in front of the elder who was in charge of this exam.

The elder eyes were wide open when he saw one of the participants using a bird to pass the exam. Jin then returned the bird to his barn through the teleportation magic drawn on the magic scroll.

"What is the meaning of this? Why do you use a bird to pass the exam?" the elder said to Jin, looking at him coldly.

"I don't remember that there was a rule prohibiting the use of tame beasts," Jin replied, looking at the elder with a faint smile on his face.

"It is an unwritten rule, and everyone knows about it. I can't ignore this. It goes against the purpose of this exam," said the elder, shaking his head.

"You cannot ignore an unwritten rule, but you can ignore the students who blocked the road with a giant magic barrier that even a blind person could see."

Jin's words made the elder shut up and did not know what to answer.

The idea of ignoring the students' academic behavior is to raise the difficulty of the exam.

It was expected that the participants would make complaints against the students who assaulted and obstructed them in accomplishing their missions, but taking advantage of this matter to violate the rules in their favor, is something that has never happened before.

*boom*

The sound of a loud explosion shook the place behind them. The magic barrier the students had made shattered to bits.

It was a common magic barrier, not an easy one to break. However, if two or more beginner magicians united to perform a magic circle to activate the barrier, its strength would be equal to an advanced magician's barrier.

Thousands of small shards of mana fell from the barrier. The mana was falling and shining so intensely and disappeared as soon as they touched the ground.

A person wearing a cloak hid his facial features walking in slow steps in the middle of this scene.

His right hand was completely covered in bandages, and his fist was still tight. The color of the bandages had been turned red. Drops of blood could clearly be seen dripping from his fist.

The blue lights behind him made his arrival to the finish line a show-off.

Jin turned to the elder, saying.

"And you thought that my entry with the eagle was too much, look at the fireworks there..... Just take the scroll, and let's finish.

The young man in the cloak arrived, and without saying a word, he gave the scroll to the elder, his finger was forming number one.

But it seemed that he turned depressed when he saw another scroll in the elder hand, sighed, lowered his head and shoulders in frustration, then turned towards Jin and said.

" I hate you."
