158 The Baby 

Five months had passed since Mu Yuexin had left the Sky Li Corporation. When she woke up in her new apartment, she hurriedly got ready to go to her monthly check-up. 

After she got ready, she went to the nearest hospital. When the nurse saw her, she smiled and asked, "Miss Mu, you are alone today? What about your husband?"

"Ah… him? He's busy today." Mu Yuexin replied. 

"Okay. Please come and lay down here." The nurse said. As usual, Mu Yuexin lifted her shirt and showed the nurse her tummy. The woman applied some sticky liquid to it.

Soon, as usual, Mu Yuexin saw the ultrasound. Watching the baby on the screen, Mu Yuexin's heart was filled with motherly feelings. That was her baby, her sole blood relative in this world she knew.

The nurse gave her the report and said, "Everything seems okay. It's a baby."
