Li Yi stared at the woman who was inside the prison. At that moment, she did not look anything like the proud woman she was. She did not even notice that Li Yi had come to meet her.

"Mother." Li Yi called out softly. Mother Li who was in a trance finally shifted her focus towards the outside of the prison and saw Li Yi.

Immediately, she rushed towards Li Yi and yelled, "Why are you late?! Did you bring our lawyer?! Hurry up! I need to go and check on your father…" 

However, unlike Mother Li's urgency, Li Yi was very calm. She smiled and asked, "Mother, you told me I am no longer a part of the Li family. So how can I have a father?"

"Don't act like a fool! I was just mad!" Mother Li shouted and grabbed Li Yi's hand. No matter how tightly she squeezed Li Yi's hand, Li Yi did not move. Rather she looked at the woman who was her mother.
