Kapitel 12: The Smell of the wild beast

Part 12

The smell of the wild beast

Ever since he remembered, Ragnes had no mother. He only had a father who was the Demon King. The father who had never seen him as a son.

The Demon King was the devil who was above all demons and people in Wetonia. Everyone was his servants, and had a duty to obey the king's orders without objection. The only person who could still argue with him was Prince Raguna, the older prince, the successor to the throne.

Although Ragnes had never seen as his child, the Demon King had never hurt or scolded him too much. If only he behaved like a person who was easy to follow his orders he would receive clothing, food and knowledge. The knowledge that was only required was the knowledge that the King allowed him to learn. In his youth, he practiced fighting skills according to his father's instructions. He studied various subjects and did miscellaneous works without any hesitation.

Unfortunately, he usually did well, better than his elder brother, Raguna. It was not that the older prince was not skillful, but his younger brother was always one step ahead. The people in the palace were like to spread rumors and joke that they didn't know who was the real devil's blood.

Ragnes who did everything better, and with Raguna, who always lost one step.

But no matter what, the brothers still loved each other well. Ragnes loved his brother. He never thought of raising himself against him. He never thought of doing anything to make his brother and father uncomfortable. He only knew that he was at peace alone. In the future without his father, if his brother ascended to the throne as a king, he would go out of this country and tried to find a place to settle down quietly. He would absolutely not cause any trouble to anyone. He had thought that he would live like that until the day he died.

He thought so until...

"Married?"

One day, the King summoned him to inform him of the engagement and marriage. His father did not ask for his opinion. He didn't even ask how he felt. What was informed was the devil who would marry him was named Kiros. They were close relatives who had seen each other at the ceremony. He was a demon general, a strong and intelligent man who could be Raguna's right-hand man in the future. Ragnes had seen that person and knew what kind of personality Kiros was.

"Will you only tell me that?"

Ragnes asked back because he felt awkward. His father raised him to become a warrior, be a sage, but never raised him as a bride. But one day, it was like getting cold water splashed on his face and said someone said I didn't want you anymore We need a bride who should be sold out to make more profit!

So what exactly did he raised him for!

"What else? I have determined that the next three weeks will be for the betrothed. Four months later, you will be married. By this year, you should be able to get your first pregnancy. Until then, it will be good for all parties." The king said simply as if he didn't see a problem. But Ragnes gritted his teeth and trembled all over.

Did you even think about planning a pregnancy?!

"Is that all! You want to tell me that you have found a permanent partner for me. So go get him to straddle and produce a child?! Do you really want to say this?!" Ragnes raised his voice.

This was the first time he had shouted at his father like this. But the King looked at him in disbelief. He couldn't understand why his son was saying something so stupid.

Some things were very easy to understand. But the father and son had completely different ideas. Just as now the King couldn't see Ragness's problem at all.

"That Kiros is a great soldier. Raguna will be king in the future. Will you as a younger brother not support your brother? Are you saying that you can be a better general for him than Kiros?" asked the father.

"If I can do it!"

"You can't do that." The answer was so cold.

The word 'You can't' of his father that day. It was like a knife stabbed him in the middle of his chest. It was the kind of sorrow that eroded the heart of a child that could not be described in words. Ragnes knew but it was very tight, very choking but unable to cry.

His father stared at him intensely before stroking his fingertips on his face. Ragnes felt that such stroking was like he was a cat or a dog, like a pet. This was the order of father. Even if he didn't want, would he have to get married? Did his own life really have no choice?

It was then that Ragnes realized that since he was little until now. In fact, he never made any decisions on his own. He who was nothing.

"You're half human. Your face resembled my mother when she was young. She was a very beautiful nymph demon. You were not born to fight, you were born to be cherished, marry, so this is my order!"

"Father!!!"

"Don't raise your voice to me! Let's go. Think hard. Isn't your brain smart? What's good for you and your brother? Can't you think?" The King said coldly. Ragnes bit his lips in front of his father until the blood flowed.

Ragnes at that time was truly hopeless, despairing over everything in life. He knew that he could not change his father's mind. Even if the heavens and the earth would fall or he cried until he died, the King would never change his mind on the things he had decided. The brain understood everything but he still didn't want to get married.

What was the final result? As was known, he argued, but eventually lost.

He cried until his eyes were almost blind. In the end, it was found that he still had to enter the betrothal ceremony. He had to accept a kiss from that wicked one. But because he surrendered until he crouched down on the ground with nothing, left four months before the wedding, he was able to escape and traveled to other lands.

Of course, the King knew. Instead, he closed one eye for the youngest son to go out and see the world for the first and last time.

When Ragnes met freedom for the first time. He was amazed and very happy. He discovered that the world was wider than he had imagined. People had different races. There were many forms and ways of life. The more he discovered, the more he didn't want to go home. He didn't want to get married. He felt only sorrow and despair.

"No, I don't want to get married. I don't want to hold a child of that person and be tethered for the rest of my life," Ragnes muttered to himself.

The more he thought, the more he sorrowed, the more he cried, but who would come to help him? He was just a half-human prince whose father didn't care. Only he had was an old friend Caberus which if he told him. That guy would have come to ask him to marry again instead. The results were not different at all.

His own body, his own life, but he couldn't control anything.

In the city of the Sawahari Desert where Ragnes came to visit his pen friend. It was here that his life changed forever.

That was the dream of the past. Every time he thought about it, he felt a pain in his chest. Until now, Ragnes felt that he was right in killing Kiros. He regretted that his father and brother died in the middle of the battle and felt sorry for the two of them. But with his first husband who caused him to experience the greatest humiliation in his life... well, he was good to die!

"You have a bad dream? This morning, your face was really scary," the person who greeted him was Sangtis. This morning, when Raigel woke up and went to take a shower when he came out, he became Sangtis.

Ragnes saw him and became accustomed to his bipolar behavior, as he said, he didn't really mind the current situation. No matter what personality was the person he loved. All was good for him.

"I dreamed of the past. Dreaming of father, brother, dreaming of...that trash, too," said Ragnes as he sat lazily on the bed. Seeing him drowsy, Sangtis came to hug him and comforted him. No matter how strong he was, he also had his sensitive moments.

For Ragnes, Sangtis knew that if talking about a guy named Kiros, it was a stigma and a wound that would never fade in this lifetime.

"It's okay. I'll be by your side. Do you want to cry? You can cry in my chest," he said playfully. But Ragnes laughed at him.

"Go get dressed, I'm hungry, husband." Ragnes squeezed his husband's nose affectionately. He wasn't the same person he was ten years ago. He didn't cry over just this.

That morning, Sangtis had breakfast with his wife. Before bringing up the matter of the palace dances to speak, of course, they understood that this was Prince Jekovic's evil plan. By now the prince must have known that Rigel's wife was the same person he had tamed.

Otherwise, why would he invite his subordinate's wife to the palace? Certainly not just for tea party and dancing.

But surely, Ragnes had no fear with this.

Remembered, he wasn't just wary of Kafka's two princes right now. But also be careful from the other kingdoms that come chasing him. The story that Sangtis told him was not a bigger problem than it already had had.

"Don't make me remind you more often, please be patient," said Sangtis. He knew his wife's personality. This person really liked walking in dangerous places, loved to take any risk. The warning was so useless.

Although it was useless, he must warn him to be aware. Ragnes may seem to be a strong person, but in essence, he knew that he was not. On the contrary, in some parts, he was very sensitive.

"Don't be so mean to Rigel," Sangtis warned again.

"Rigel is not a weak person. That's you," Ragnes laughed as he peeled orange to his mouth. Sangtis saw it and thought that it seemed Rigel's life was really hapless. "Don't underestimate yourself, my dear husband"

"Because it's me, I feel pity. Aren't you going to kick me out of my position as a general? It's cruel." This was to make him an enemy to the humans of Kafka, clearly, wasn't that cruel?

"What kind of cruelty? If you're here, you die. I'll take my husband to a safe place. It must be good. Alright, let's go to work," said he. He sat happily in the morning, and now he would get up and chased his husband to work.

The two of them walked hand in hand and walked to the front of the house. The expressions were so affectionate that the servants felt that the master was deeply in love with his wife. The best way was not to scrub it.

"How about kissing goodbye in the morning? Or let me kiss you, it's still ok," he said, pretending to be a kisser, but Sangtis grabbed him by the waist before defiantly reaching down to face him.

"You got too much. Little devil!" he said and pressed his lips to kiss the other party hotly. As for the Little Demon King giggling, he also held his husband's neck down and hugged him.

"At this age, I can still be your little devil. It's really a pleasure. Hurry back, my knight. I'll be waiting to play with you," he said as he licked his tongue on the other side of Sangtis' cheek until Sangtis had goosebumps.

To be honest, your wife seduced you in front of your eyes like this? How could you be patient

"Too bad!"

"Bye-bye, darling!" The King waved his goodbyes as he laughed hysterically until Lauriet, who was looking from a distance, felt a little pity for Sangtis.

Thus, Sangtis left to work. Once he had left, Lauriet and Ragnes were ready to go to their work as well. The two pretended to tell the servants in the house that they would go out and contact the jewelers. Then let the carriage return first. As for them, they continued to search for news at the capital's most luxurious hotels, where they welcomed visitors from different regions.

As the royal celebrations approached, other kingdoms would send representatives to bless the great human king. Among them, there was one kingdom that Ragnes was particularly interested in…Ozlo.

The Ozlo people were half-wild creatures inhabiting the center of the continent. They had had a good relationship with Kafka for a long time and was the number one partner in the past. In contrast, the Ozlo people sent a letter to ask Ragnes to marry.

This rose doubts as to what the King of Oslo actually thought. They wanted to remain Kafka's partner but it signaled that they wanted the heir to marry the king of Wetonia. They even sent valuables generously, it meant that they were very serious.

However, Ragnes thought that he should stay away from these people. Ozlo people were inherently wild animals, fierce and aggressive. Demons were still creatures that might be talked to for a bit, but with the Ozlo people, they talked with strength and body. If they were in the rut, they would be torn him to pieces.

Ragnes changed his hair and eye color to black. Then he disguised as the hotel staff. He separated with Lauriet and tried to investigate the news that was valuable to obtain.

"Hey you, take this and serve the guests," said one of the waiters, placing a tray of liquor in his hand. Ragnes was instantly stunned. This was to be served to someone. "For that person," then pointed at a muscular young man who immediately froze Ragnes.

That was Caberus!

He forgot that this guy might even stay in this luxury hotel too!

"Hey, is that my drink? If so, then you can bring it up, Servant Boy!" Caberus turned to the awkward Ragnes.

When he was called, he seemed to have no choice, so he had to walk and serve him. Now, Caberus was sitting with a man, a golden-headed man, handsome but majestic as a lion. Ragnes could smell a faint smell from this person even though he had already sprinkled the perfume all over him. This must be an Ozlo.

"Eh, you look good. You'd better come to sit with me and be my friend, what's up?" Caberus said. His hands were still scurrying around Ragnes's hips as well. Ragnes saw this and cursed deeply in his heart.

This guy! He remembered me!

"I still have to work. As for this hand, take it away, customer," Ragnes replied helplessly. The accent looked very rude. But he dared to answer this way because he saw this guy's filthy eyes. He was unlucky!

"What work are you doing? Isn't entertaining the guests considered your work? What, just a waiter, why do you act so like a prince?" The more he said, the more Ragnes became even more furious.

Damn bastard!! Caberus!!!!

"You seem to misunderstand. If you want someone to play with, cross the street into that red line district. Not around here," he said and then tries to carve out these octopus hands. This bastard saw that he couldn't do anything violent, so he braved to harass him!

"Don't be impatient, hey, this young man looks so beautiful. Would you like him to go to the party tonight with us? Ambassador Ozlo"

Huh!!

Caberus had tried to tell him something. It seemed he wanted him to stay still and play this game together. But what about the party? Was there a feast that was so important that Caberus wanted to go with him?

"It must have been a banquet for the Kafka nobles hosted by Prince Darius. Well, you're interested?" Caberus secretly winked at Ragnes. He knew that Ragnes was in disguise because he had a plan too. So he gave this opportunity to his mouth. He should accept it, shouldn't he?

Even if this opportunity was extremely suspicious!

"Ah, but this young man doesn't seem to agree. Well, if Lord Gaven and I invite you to a banquet. Would you dare to go with us?" The speaker was an ambassador who was enjoying his drink at midday. He looked at the person that Caberus was flirting with and felt that his appearance wasn't bad at all. No, this young man seemed so nice.

He had been playing here for a while and had just seen this person, so he decided to try a little bit.

Ragnes was stunned as well. He and Lauriet wanted to investigate Kafka and Ozlo, and now suddenly someone threw it to his mouth.

Won't you go? Going was stupid, not going was very stupid. There was such an embarrassment as well.

"That depends. How much do you want to pay?" Ragnes smiled brightly.

Come on! If silly Caberus wants to play, he can play with,

He'll see what his evil plan!
