Kapitel 3: DEVASTATION

The King summons Yule to go to the Kingdom of Equinox, King Nicolas and King Gustavo have a good relationship with each other. she summons Yule to deliver some really important documents. Eli assisted her in the journey while they were gone.

As the clock ticked closer to midnight, the once-vibrant streets of the Kingdom of Solstice began to transform in a way that was both chilling and surreal. The lively chatter of the townsfolk that usually filled the air was replaced by an unsettling silence as if the very soul of the kingdom had been sucked out. The lively taverns and bustling marketplaces, once filled with warmth and laughter, were now eerily empty, the only sound being the soft howl of the wind

Suddenly, a low growl echoed in the distance, followed by the haunting screech of an unknown creature. The ground beneath began to tremble subtly, as if in fear of what was about to come. Shadows began to twist and contort, taking on grotesque forms that were barely visible in the dim moonlight.

The once serene night was gradually transforming into a scene of terror. The air grew dense and heavy, filled with an ominous energy that sent shivers down the spines of the bravest warriors. The faint glow of the moon was slowly being swallowed by a blanket of darkness as if the night itself was being consumed by the demons.

One by one, the demons began to show up, their fiery eyes glowing in the darkness, their grotesque forms silhouetted against the dying light. Their chilling laughter echoed through the empty streets, creating an eerie symphony of terror that gripped the once-peaceful kingdom.

The night was no longer a time of rest for the Kingdom of Solstice. It had become a time of fear, a time when the demons made their presence known. As the quiet night turned into a terrifying spectacle, the kingdom braced itself for the horrors that were yet to come.

The city capital was the most affected as Hordes of demons showed everywhere to destroy the homes of civilians. it was complete chaos as the citizens were panicking to evacuate and Stationed Knights were fighting the hordes of Belial monster

Hordes/ravages: any monster that the demon has summoned.

The elderly and children were most likely to perish in the horde's onslaught, with Knights and mages doing everything they could to protect citizens and evacuate them as much as possible.

Yule and Eli are completely unaware of what is going on in their kingdom. However, before they reach Equinox's boundary, they get a message from Leo. he sends one of his golems to find them and convey the word to Yule. When they received the news, their eyes widened and they ran back to the Kingdom immediately.

Yule and Eli stood frozen, their eyes wide with disbelief, as they witnessed the aftermath of the demon's attack. The streets that were once filled with laughter and bustling activity were now littered with debris and broken fragments of what used to be a thriving community. Dead bodies can be found everywhere. the rivers that were once clean and clear are now flowing in a crimson-red liquid.

Yule drew her Ice crystal sword from her hand and began slaughtering the hordes. Eli does the same, slaying any of the Hordes they come across. Yule noticed other folks who were resting on the ground and were still moving and weeping.

Yule's eyes widen as she sees their grins, and joy changes to grief and agony. She was aware that she was failing to safeguard their smiles. Yule noticed that everyone was sobbing and fleeing. She turns to face Eli, who is slaughtering many Hordes at the same time.

"Eli! Help evacuate the folks to a safe location, and I'll deal with the Hordes," she said. But Eli seemed to disagree, stating that he does not want to leave Yule alone.

"Yule, I cannot leave you here, there are too many Hordes,"

"Eli! You have to help them, remember what I said, remember what you have to protect!" Yule yelled, slaying the hordes' throats. running out of time to save the civilians because of the hordes of Belial scattered everywhere.

"Help!"

"Help! Someone! my son is dying."

"Yule, Help!!!"

"Captain, help us!"

They heard all the civilians asking for help. Yule looked at him "Eli, listen to me, I can handle this, evacuate them immediately!" she said as she slew several hordes who were scattered around her. but Eli seems to hear nothing and keeps slaying the Hordes

"Eli! Remember what I said--" he cuts what she's saying

"I have to protect you! I can't lose you Yule!" he said. startled Yule. her eyebrow furrowed as she heard the voices of the civilians

"Don't call me a weakling; I can take care of myself, I don't need your protection! Don't forget, I would not be what I am today if not for my abilities, and the protection you're saying, I don't need it, but they do! now go, and save as many as you can. " she remarked. and paralyzes any Hordes she sees. Eli attempted to utilize the telepathic communication spell, but no one responded.

"But Yule, I didn't want you to get h—I can't lose you! you're the only one I care about. let's wait for reinforcements to evacuate them and I'll help you deal with the Hordes!" Eli shouted, desperate. but Yule suddenly appeared in front of him and slapped him across the face. Eli's eyes widen when he notices the difference from the usual smack of Yule.

"They don't respond to my message," she stated coldly. "You have to evacuate them, now!"

"But Yule, if I leave—" Eli interrupted himself when Yule abruptly grabbed him by the collar and gave him a terrifying look. the second time Eli saw Yule making an expression like this,

"Call me captain, and obey my commands..." she added before letting go. Eli didn't say anything and unconsciously hugged Yule, which surprised her.

"Be safe. I'll be back once I finish," he said and immediately went to evacuate the civilians.

Yule slays the Hordes, one at a time with a swift, fluid motion, Yule lunged forward, her ice crystal sword gleaming in the dim light. As she swung her weapon, a trail of frost followed its path, leaving a chilling mark in the air. The demon, taken aback by her audacity, attempted to retaliate, but Yule's agility and determination proved to be formidable.

With each strike, Yule's ice crystal sword emitted a brilliant, icy glow, as if channeling the very essence of the frozen elements. The clash of steel and ice echoed through the battlefield, a symphony of power and determination. The hordes of demons, accustomed to overpowering their adversaries, found themselves facing an opponent whose resolve burned brighter than the flames of its malevolence.

Yule's movements were swift and precise, her strikes guided by a deep connection to the forces of nature. She danced around the hordes of demons, evading their attacks with grace and agility. With each successful strike, shards of ice erupted from the demon's wounds, causing it to writhe in pain. As the battle raged on, Yule's ice crystal sword grew colder and more potent, its power intensifying with every swing. The air around her shimmered with a frosty mist, creating an ethereal aura that seemed to amplify her strength.

As the hordes of demons relentlessly advanced upon the shattered Kingdom of Solstice, Eli, fueled by a deep sense of responsibility, took on the crucial task of evacuating the surviving citizens. With a determined expression on his face, he rallied the people, urging them to gather their loved ones and seek safety. Amidst the chaos and destruction, Eli's voice boomed with authority, cutting through the air like a beacon of hope. He directed the frightened and disoriented civilians, guiding them toward designated safe zones where they could find temporary refuge. He made sure to check every corner, ensuring that no one was left behind in the face of imminent danger.

[Eli, how're the civilians?] Yule uses the telepathy communication spell with Eli.

[I'm gathering all the folks I see who are still alive; how are you? Are you okay? Did you suffer any injuries? ] Eli inquires as he carries a youngster and places them in an underground warehouse.

[I-I'm alright.] Yule said as she slew some Hordes, panting, Yule's powers are exceptional; she can battle both long and short ranges. She is, nonetheless, a human being who gets fatigued. Her mana does not run out easily, but her stamina does.

She moves slowly compared to earlier, forcing her to be attacked by the Hordes and receiving scratches on her back and arms. Despite her diminishing strength, Yule fought on, fueled by sheer willpower and a fierce desire to defend what she held dear. Every swing of her sword became a battle against her exhaustion, her breaths shallow and labored. She had given everything she had, but her stamina had reached its limit. Yet, even in her weakened state, her eyes still burned with determination, refusing to yield to the darkness

[Captain, are you really fine?] Eli said but before Yule answered. someone enters the communication magic.

[Captain! are you there!? can you hear me?!] Jack said, desperately waiting for an answer.
