"What if they saw your ghost haunting them? Would they still be just as unfazed?"
"Are you going to turn me into a ghost?"
"No," Zaelek shook his head as he spoke, "You are already a ghost. I don't need to turn you into one. All I need to do is make sure that they can see you as well."
"..." Akira didn't know if he wanted to laugh or cry as he heard this.
The fact that he was a ghost had still not registered in his mind and hence, Akira couldn't help but feel a little awkward as he heard Zaelek's words.
"All you have to do is act like your normal self," Zaelek added.
"Do you think they'll fall for it?"
Zaelek smirked as he heard this question and confidently spoke, "They'll fall for it. I'll make sure that they do."
Akira opened his mouth to say something but suddenly, there came a sound of knocking from the door of the room.
"Yuzu, I made you hot chocolate. Please come and take it. I know you can't sleep without drinking your hot chocolate."
Akira's eyes widened in horror and he immediately looked at Zaelek for an explanation as he desperately mouthed, "How come he is still here...?!"
Zaelek avoided eye contact as he shrugged his shoulders and casually spoke, "There's a tiny problem."
"Problem?"
The man nodded his head as he revealed, "I can't possess the same body twice."
"..." Akira was stunned speechless. If he could, he would certainly want to smack this man on the head at least once.
Kaito, who was standing outside, sighed as he knocked on the door again and spoke, "I won't leave until you drink this."
Akira took a deep breath in and calmed himself down as he opened his mouth to say something but before the words could fall out of his mouth, Zaelek wrapped his hand around Akira's mouth and stopped him from speaking.
"Whatever you were about to say, don't say it."
Akira frowned as he heard this warning and bit Zaelek's hand.
Zaelek flinched as he immediately removed his hand from the man's mouth.
"How do you know what I was about to say?"
"It's written all over your face," Zaelek sighed as he spoke, "Even if you don't like the man, hold it in. You are in Yuzu's body right now and you shouldn't destroy the relationship between the two of them."
"What if I do destroy it?" Akira innocently asked.
"Then you won't be the only one punished," Zaelek clicked his tongue as he replied, "Don't drag me down with you."
Akira smirked as he heard this and for some reason, Zaelek felt a shiver run down his spine as he saw that unsettling smirk.
"I'm coming," Akira softly shouted as he headed towards the door and opened it wide for Kaito.
With a warm smile plastered on his face, Akira looked at Kaito and thanked him for bringing the hot chocolate.
Kaito looked to be a bit surprised and asked, "Are you okay now?"
"I feel slightly better," Akira beamed, "Let's talk tomorrow. My actions today must have really confused you, I'm sorry."
Kaito shook his head with a small smile as he spoke, "It's okay. You don't need to say sorry."
Suddenly, before Akira could even react, Kaito moved closer and kissed the man on his cheek as he spoke, "Goodnight. Take some rest."
Akira stood there with his eyes wide open in shock and watched the man leave in silence.
As soon as Kaito was gone, Zaelek rested his chin on Akira's shoulder from behind as he sarcastically commented, "It seems like I was worried over nothing. You guys seem to be hitting it off quite well."
Zaelek's cold breath tickled Akira's neck and he couldn't help but immediately push the man away.
"This is all because of you," Akira glared at the man as he complained.
Zaelek shrugged his shoulders as he spoke, "Look on the bright side. You got yourself a free boyfriend."
Akira fake gagged as a response.
"Anyone else but him!"
"Anyone?" Zaelek questioned, raising an eyebrow.
Akira did not bother giving a response to that question and ignored the man.
"Even Asahi?"
Akira immediately felt his mind go blank as he heard that name and clenched his fist as he spoke, "I don't date friends."
Zaelek pursed his lips together and nodded his head, seeming to have accepted Akira's words.
"In any case, this is a big problem!" Akira suddenly exclaimed.
"Hmm?"
"If you can't possess his body, how the hell would you help me?! And what if he becomes a problem? How do we deal with him?"
"Just because I can't possess his body doesn't mean I can't be him," Zaelek spoke as he flicked his fingers and held out his hand, "I can still create a physical body for myself and everyone would see me as the person I want them to see me as."
Akira hesitantly touched Zaelek's hand and couldn't help but feel a little surprised.
"So you'll pretend to be him?"
Zaelek nodded his head, "But we can't let him see me while I'm 'him'. If the two of us meet, one of us will vanish for all of eternity."
Akira gulped as he heard this but said nothing.
"So we need to be careful."
"Why didn't we use this method since the beginning itself?"
Zaelek, "It's more troublesome and risky. Possessing a body is easier and much more fun."

The next day, Akira woke up early because of Kaito, who knocked on his door and called him out.
"Yuzu, come out and eat breakfast. I need to leave for work soon."
Akira couldn't help but roll his eyes and groan in annoyance as he heard the man's voice.
He looked across the room at Zaelek, who seemed as if he had not slept a wink and had been sitting on the couch, reading all night.
"I'm never forgiving you for this torture," Akira grumbled but the grim reaper only shrugged his shoulders, not even bothering to look up at Akira.
Akira reluctantly pushed himself off the bed and dragged his unwilling body downstairs where he was met with a beaming Kaito.
"Good morning!~" Kaito happily greeted him.
"Good morning to you as well," Akira yawned as he replied in his half-sleepy voice.
"I have to leave for work in ten minutes. Since you aren't feeling well, you can just stay at home today."
"No, that won't be necessary," Akira immediately responded, "I also have some things left to do."
"Things left to do?" Kaito raised an eyebrow as he asked, "What would that be?"
"Nothing that concerns you," Akira nonchalantly replied as he picked up the fork and stabbed at the poor fried egg.
Kaito frowned a little as he heard this and gently placed his own fork down and crossed his arms in front of his chest as he carefully looked at Akira and asked, "Have I somehow offended you?"
"Why do you say that?" Akira asked, feigning ignorance.
"It just feels like it. You never used to talk to me like this. No matter how small the matter was, you used to tell me everything."
"I've just been a bit worried about some things," Akira sighed as he spoke.
Kaito's frown deepened as he heard this and he immediately asked, "What are you worried about? You are always free to share your worries with me. Maybe I can help you."
With an idea in mind, Akira lifted his head to look at Kaito and spoke, "It's not something that you can help me with. It's a bit of a serious issue."
"What is it?"
"It's about Akira Kanbe."
Kaito immediately sighed as he heard the name, "I already told you, didn't I? There's nothing to worry about. He is nothing more than a friend."
"That's not what I'm worried about," Akira immediately interrupted.
"Huh? Then what is it?"
"I'm worried about Mr. Akira's safety."
Kaito couldn't help but feel both worried and confused as he heard this.
"I think he..."
"What happened? What are you trying to say?"
"I think he was killed," Akira hesitantly revealed.
Kaito's eyes immediately widened in horror and for a second there, he was too stunned to say anything in response.
"I saw and heard a few things at his birthday party last time and ever since, I haven't been able to sleep well. That night keeps repeating over and over again in my head to the point where I feel as if it is haunting me. As if... Akira's ghost is haunting me."
"Yuzu, you need to be a bit clearer than that. What exactly is it that you are trying to say? What did you see and hear?"
A corner of Akira's lips slightly turned up in a small smirk, the action was so slight that it went completely unnoticed by Kaito.
"I saw them fighting," Akira spoke as he revealed, "I saw Asahi fighting with Akira on the balcony. It was a verbal fight and I soon left, thinking that it would be better to give them space, but..."
"But what?" Kaito pressed on.
