Kapitel 26: Chapter 26: Assisting Investigation

"It was my fault yesterday. I only heard that Director Meng might go to the banquet, but I didn't find out who would be attending. Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, I left early." Charlotte Cooper thought for a moment and continued, "Lucas Carter took me out, so I didn't run into the police."

"Lucas Carter?"

Vanessa Foster was still somewhat unfamiliar with this name, and after trying to recall, she said with a bit of understanding, "Is it the one who helped you last time?"

Charlotte nodded.

"How did he happen to be there?"

Charlotte shook her head. It wasn't appropriate for her to tell Vanessa about Lucas claiming to be a reincarnated person, as she didn't know if it was true or not.

Vanessa didn't seem to care, "Everyone who was caught yesterday has been taken in for questioning. Since you weren't caught, don't come forward. I'll go ask about it first, and then we'll see what to do. I'll have someone prepare for a PR response."
