Kapitel 66: is this really necessary?

Her legs became jelly all of a sudden, failing to perform their duty to hold her up,she fell on her butt. She held her face and started crying again "please leave, please. I never wanted this to happen,I really loved you,I don't want you to hate me, I don't want you to leave me here. Please just go back,I promise to explain everything later" She managed to force the words out amidst her sobbing,not daring to look Alex in the face; she felt too ashamed of herself.

Alex raised an eyebrow after he heard what Becky said. Hate her? Why would he? And what did she mean by she didn't want this to happen? What's happening?

Alex tried to make sense from what she said but got nothing. He looked at the sobbing girl who was mumbling things even him could barely hear.
