"Jayce!"
When Jayce walked out of the courtroom, a tall figure slightly knelt and embraced him.
*sobs*
Jayce who got embraced stood there in a trance. Then his shoulders trembled, with shaking arms, he embraced her back. Tears started to fall from his face, his heart ached as if someone were squeezing it.
"I'm back *Hic*, mother. *Sobs* I'm back." These past 2 days have been the toughest time he has ever experienced. Although he had put up a cold and calm face during these past few days, he was just bluffing. In order to survive, in order to be free, in order to see another day, he had to be tough; after all, he was a normal boy beforehand, he was not some old ancient expert who had lost their emotion.
So, when his mother hugged him, the last straw broke; like a dam that had been broken, tears and anguish flooded him. Like a baby, his tears, snots, flew out from his eyes and nostrils. He hugged her tightly.
"There, there. Mommy is here, Jayce, mommy is here. Everything is fine, honey," Ximena bit her lips to stop herself from crying. These past few days, Jayce had been showing off his strength, she had forgotten that Jayce was still just a little kid, her little boy. Now, seeing him crying and sobbing made her heart break. At this point she knows that Jayce needed her, so she must be a bigger person; she can't be weak, so he can lean on her, depend on her.
After several minutes of hugging his mother, Jayce broke the embrace, knelt, and banged his head hard against the floor.
"I'm sorry mother, this child had been unfilial for making you worry." He said as he bit his lips, forcing down the tears. What kind of son makes his mother worry; what kind of son made his mother cry? He hadn't even paid off the debt for his mother's love, the pain of her carrying him for 9 months, the dreams, careers, and hobbies that she had to put off for him. Now, looking at the crying face of his mother, his heart can't take it. He had been unfilial.
His head kept banging off the hard floor as it was the only way for him to make up for her. He deserved this punishment.
"Jayce, stop it, WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" Ximena put out her hand, cushioning the head that was banging the floor. She pulls Jayce closer, embraced him once more. Looking at his bleeding head, her heart felt squeezed.
'Sigh' A sigh came from Poppy who is looking at the scene with moist eyes. She grew up in Bandle City without knowing who her parents are, the only family she has is her godmother, Lulu. Seeing that Jayce is such a filial son and has a great mother, she felt slightly envious.
*HIC*
On the other hand, Soraka with her soft nature, is bawling her eyes out. The scene was just too much for her.
"Here, take it," Ezreal said as he gave out tissues to her. His eyes are also slightly moistened, he has not seen his parents for months as he was busy researching ruins. He decided to drop them a visit after.
Jayce seeing the trio's fiasco, patted his mother's shoulder and went to greet them.
"Thank you so much, heroes, for saving me and my son, you have my gratitude." Ximena bowed.
"Don't call me a hero, Hmph!" Poppy turns her head aside, but they could see a small blush crept up her cheeks.
"Hehe, since Jayce is one of us, we are required to protect our comrades," Ezreal said. That's right, he was also part of the League. Seeing a fellow from the same kingdom as him joining the league, he felt like an older brother.
"Astral Fusion." Soraka smiled and waved her staff at Jayce, healing his head.
"Let us go back and rest, after all, you guys have experienced roller coasters of emotions."
Jayce and his mother nod, they have truly experienced a lot of emotion during this period. They then followed Poppy and them to a big mansion. Although they have a mansion of their own in the capital, Soraka adamantly told them to follow her, saying that's where his training will be.
Jayce naturally agrees and his mother has no objection.
Jayce and company arrived at a big white-colored mansion. It's big, but he doesn't see anything unnatural about the mansion.
"You can't see it can you," Soraka spoke out beside him.
"See what?" Jayce confusedly asks. He squinted his eyes, but nothing seemed abnormal or out of place.
"You have a high amount of Arcane power but don't know the method to use them. It's also strange that you can use Arcane power without controlling them." Ezreal spoke beside him. He's confused about how Jayce can use those abnormal techniques when he doesn't know how to control his power.
"It's fine, this could slowly be taught during these 3 months. With his potential, he might be a fast learner." Poppy said as she led them toward the door.
'????? SOMEONE TELLS ME WHAT'S GOING ON?' Jayce felt left out when they ignored him.
"You open the door, Jayce." Poppy said.
Although confused, he still nods, opening the door.
*WHOOSH* The moment he did, a heavy wind smacked his face, knocking him off-balance.
"What.The.Fuck" Jayce said with opened jaw as he stared at the scene before him.
A vast open space, with rocks-like mountains; like the time he visited his local Grand Cayon, but 10 times bigger.
''Where am I? What is this? Who am I?' Jayce can't function properly with what is happening.
"Don't be surprised, this is just some basic teleportation." Ezreal with his nose high bragged.
"Weren't your reaction more exaggerated than him, Ez." Poppy rolled her eyes at him
Ezreal blushes, glares at her but doesn't say anything. It's true, he was even more mind-blown than Jayce was when he first got here.
Jayce ignored the two and asked the more mature person in the group.
"Sister Soraka, where are we?"
"Hehe, we are currently in the Shurima's desert," Hearing Jayce calling her a sister, she felt quite good.
"Shurima's desert? Why are we all the way over here?" Jayce confusedly asked. He has read a lot of books; he knows that the desert is very far away from PiltOver.
"What else? This is where you are going to train for the next 3 months." Poppy smiled dangerously, she can't wait to torture this rough diamond, transforming him into a beautiful jewel.
Jayce seeing her smiles, felt goosebumps. He got a feeling that he had just stepped into the lion's den.
