Lucian clenched his hand into a tight fist and expressed, "The fetus— he has high chance of suffering from congenital heart defect. And your health, it isn't stable as well. The pregnancy has high-risk."

Hearing to all that made her heart squeeze tightly, making her fall into silence. She didn't know how to process the situation.

There was something wrong with her baby and were chances of him not being born alive.

Seeing how Valerie went pale with each passing second got Lucian to extend his hand and pull her trembling figure into a hug.

"I am sorry for yelling at you earlier. I just didn't want you to worry and worsen your health. That's why, I kept the matter away from you."
