Kapitel 38: The Nightmare

"What about the land at Silverstone Road 56? Did you manage to purchase them?" asked Arnold Davies.

More than a week has passed since the incident with his garage, and apparently, he had been attacked as well in the middle of the street. He tried to find the culprit behind the latter incident but remained unsuccessful so far.

He at first thought Valerie would be the culprit, but no matter how much he looked through it, he couldn't find a connection between her and those incidents. Moreover, he believed Valerie had no courage or capability to go after him.

She was an obedient puppet.

As for Valerie, she was seething against Arnold for what he did to Lucian. She wished to tear the man off using her own hands, but what she understood was that Rye wouldn't leave Arnold alone. Therefore, she pressed in her anger and let Rye make the decisions, knowing how Rye could be more vicious than her without leaving behind any clues.
