Kapitel 1: Perfect Coincidence

Isabelle Swain has wandered in different places for a long time. She was a lonely vampire who looked for someone who would take away the sadness in her heart.

Suddenly, the warm sky was covered by clouds. The entire surrounding was filled with darkness as the nightfall has finally come.

"Huh, even heaven is trying its best to stop me from wandering around!" she exclaimed as she looked around the forest.

It was an ordinary forest surrounded by trees and wild animals. It was too peaceful that somehow caught the lonely vampire's attention.

She was enchanted by the chirping birds, the mesmerizing flowers that already bloomed before she came.

At her left, there was a mountain of drifting woods that could be used in cooking. On the opposite side, there was smoke that came from nowhere.

Isabelle quickly smiled sweetly as she thought there was someone who would let her in for the meantime. She then took a deep breath as she pretended to be a human being.

It would be easy for her to be welcomed by the hut's owner if she would act like a poor, lost woman in the middle of the woods.

"I guess, it's time to fool the owner!" she said and flipped her curly, black hair away.

Slowly, she took steps closer to where the smoke came from. She was very vigilant as she knew it wasn't her territory at all.

Vampires' kingdom was far away from the forest. If something happened to her, no one would dare to save her.

All of a sudden, Isabelle heard nothing but a barking dog outside of the hut. It confused her as she thought the owner would be there as well.

Instead of feeling upset, she licked her lips the moment she caught a glimpse of the white, hairy dog. It looked like a hybrid dog as it resembled a werewolf.

"I'm thirsty," she murmured as she tried to fool around the dog before she attacked and sucked its blood.

Isabelle used her ability, but it seemed like the dog wasn't a typical dog. It could smell her and before it killed her first, she sighed in disbelief and leaned back to one of the trees around.

"Huh, I underestimated that dog!" she murmured and tried to catch her breath.

Her face was scarlet as sweat covered it. She was tired and just wanted to take a rest, but Isabelle found a perfect spot aside from the warm hut.

The night became too darker and colder than it used to be. The howling wind suddenly swayed the firm trees as they continued to blow everything in the forest.

She has no choice as she embraced herself tightly enough that would warm her cold, empty self.

"It's never been this cold!" she surprisingly said.

For a couple of minutes, she stayed in the same position until she had enough strength. Isabelle looked up at the tree and examined it thoroughly.

She was certain it was safe enough until it was time to leave the forest.

With no hesitation, Isabelle climbed up at the tree until she reached the safest spot. She was hungry, but she was exhausted already.

The emptiness she had felt was still bearable. She then took a short nap while the white dog watched her from a distance.

It had stopped barking as it knew what happened.

"At first glance, I know she's a vampire— a lonely vampire." a man said as he stood where the dog stayed earlier.

At that moment, Isabelle had fallen asleep so quickly. She didn't know that she has an audience who watched her sleeping soundly.

Without her knowledge, the strange man cautiously walked closer to the gigantic tree where a goddess-like vampire rested.

He didn't know exactly why, but he was simply enchanted by her beauty.

"I've never met someone who has exactly those sparkling golden-brown eyes like her," he said as he stopped from taking another step.

With all of his strengths, he secretly climbed up the tree. He didn't make any sound that would awaken the gorgeous vampire before his eyes.

At first glance, he knew she was different. She was a woman who could protect herself and didn't need anyone by her side.

However, when he looked intently into her eyes, he knew she wasn't happy at all. She was longing for something real that words couldn't explain.

The man gulped for a second. He couldn't take off his eyes of her, but he must bring her inside of the hut before other werewolves noticed her.

He said, "Don't open your eyes yet."

It was filled with fear and worries. It has been a while since he felt the same way since he was a little boy who met a beautiful girl along the way.

He couldn't forget the day he met her accidentally, but as the time passed by, the memory of her was slowly fading away.

But because of her, everything came back as if he had finally met her again after a long, long time.

At that moment, he quickly pushed the door as soon as he reached the hut.

He didn't waste any second as he laid her down to the room where he usually slept every time he wanted to.

While he was putting her down gently, he suddenly felt butterflies in his stomach. His heartbeat was fast as it was the first moment he'd ever been with a woman.

He then sighed and looked away from her tempting, crimson lips. Before it carried him away, he walked out of the room without looking back at her face.

It would cause big trouble if he had let his emotions take over than anything else.

He looked up at the sky for a couple of minutes frustratingly. Somehow, it had lessened the strong energy that almost forced him to do something vicious.

He then gulped as he caressed his temple gently.

"Huh, she's a lonely vampire and I'm an arrogant alpha. What a humorous fate!" he said quietly until a mischievous smile flaunted on his face.

For the first time, the alpha has finally found his sweetest obsession.
