ALEX
I mean it.
Every moment with her feels like forever, but at the same time, it flashes past in seconds. It's strange how the same amount of time can feel completely different just because of who I'm spending it with. Sometimes, time doesn't exist when I'm with Autumn.
"That's cheesy, right?"
"No." She shakes her head. "It's sweet."
"I know it was only six weeks - the entire thing - but it felt longer."
"I know what you mean."
I focus on the comforter. I'm not sure I should say any of this, but I think she needs to know. "When I saw you in the restaurant - when you came out from the back - I thought...I thought oh my God, she's here. You..." and I can't look at her when I say this, "...you were even more beautiful then I remember. And when you looked at me, I thought shit - I'm not going to be able to leave her." I look up. "But I knew that going in. I knew as soon as Corey told me that'd he found you...everything was going to be different."
