AUTUMN

I can't believe this is happening.

I can't believe Alex and I are right back to where we were - promising to be together. But will it work this time? My mom, Aunt Milly, and Sean kept us apart before. Now, it's everything. Alex's music career. His fiancé - the Swedish Supermodel America loves. There are so many things that could keep this from coming true, but I don't want to think about any of that. Right now, it's only Alex and me. Right now, somehow, we've found our way back to each other.

That's all that matters.

"Hey." His eyes shift between mine. "You okay?"

I nod, wishing these stupid tears would go away. I hate them. I hate that they make me weak, and he has a front row seat to how pathetic I am, how I can't even stop crying even when he tells me he still loves me.

"What is it?"

I hold his hands to my face, hoping he never moves them. I shake my head, not really sure what I want to say, just hoping he never lets me go.

"Autumn?"
