Kapitel 202: SPIT IT OUT

The hurried footsteps resounded heavily as the figure made their way into the back alley and exited through the rear door. Burdened by guilt and perspiring with anxiety despite the cool night wind, a sense of urgency propelled him to escape quickly.

Upon stepping out into the bright moon light, he inwardly exhaled a deep sigh, as if feeling a fleeting sense of relief.

Despite his attempt at escaping covertly, he couldn't help but feel anxious as he looked back over his shoulder while he made his way through the side lawn. He had hoped that by leaving the house this way, he had avoided anyone who would follow him. Taking his hideous hat with him, he intended to use it as a disguise and slip past undetected all the way to the gates.

Despite his efforts to appear calm, there was a sense of unease that lingered in the air, shrouding him in a cloak of uncertainty and apprehension.
