Kapitel 169: Making Use of the Matter

"Mom, why did you pick up my phone?!" Wallace's voice finally rang on the other end of the call. His mother was cursing at him, but Wallace didn't want to hear it.

"Alright, find a safe place to wait for me there. Don't be afraid; I'll be there soon." After learning the whole story, Wallace became nervous and hung up. He didn't even have time to wipe the water from his hair before he rushed out.

Sharon returned the phone to the woman and kept thanking her.

She didn't dare to go far, so she sat under a street lamp and waited for Wallace.

When Wallace's car drove over, he saw a thin woman sitting on the steps with her arms crossed dirty. She huddled into a ball as she observed the cars coming and going. It didn't seem to be the car she was expecting, so she focused on the cars passing by. When they disappeared, she pouted and continued to sit there.
