Kapitel 295: Fluorescent Lights

The constant pain and sickening feeling rapidly faded away and Kairos' vision blurred. Before everything blacked out entirely, he heard Si's voice trail off.

"Huh. That was the fastest I've seen someone..."

Kairos felt something grabbing onto the parts of him and piecing his body back together bit by bit. No, that was incorrect. It was piecing both him and Si together. Rather than different pieces stuck together, another body formed entirely, one that wasn't exactly Si and one that wasn't exactly Kairos either. It was a surreal experience and somehow wasn't painful. The fact that it didn't feel jarring somehow made it even stranger.

His vision was gradually restored as his eye was placed back and connected. He could see Nicole give a little wave while smiling, as though they had seen each other while walking on the street.
