Kapitel 18: Chapter 18: Unfairly Treated

No one in the Chen family tried to stop the brothers' bullying behavior, not even Zhao Mei, the mother, who could only watch silently with a hurting heart, resenting herself for not having a son to stand up for them.

Seven-year-old Dani was already accustomed to the unfair treatment. When her noodles were taken away, she just licked the oil on her lips, resolving to drink more quickly next time.

Five-year-old Erni was younger and felt wronged, so she burst into tears.

She cried so miserably that all Zhao Mei could do was to sooth her, "Erni, be good. Your brother is still young, let him have the noodle soup. Don't cry."

As Chen Dabao and Chen Erbao sipped their noodle soup, they pointed at Erni and broke into laughter, "Haha, Erni's mouth is so big and ugly. Let's feed her some mud."

Erni immediately cried louder.

Dabao, the little rascal, grabbed a handful of dirt from the ground and was about to put it into her mouth before Zhou Zhaodi stopped him. He pouted unhappily.
