Kapitel 23: Kekkei Genkai
A new day has come, I woke up before the sunrise, make breakfast for everyone in the house, and something for my lunch, added a few Chakra Recovering Pills, three bottles of water and juice to my bag, and we are ready for today's training, put my bag in my shoulder and left the house after breakfast.
I arrived to the training Ground, Rock Lee and Guy-Sensei were already there, to my surprise it seems that the event that made Rock Lee change his style to become mini Guy happened last night, he was wearing the green leotard and the bowl cut, he still wasn't wearing the orange leg warmers, but it wouldn't take long for that to happen.
"Perfect, Kenji is here, I have a preset for both of you" Guy-Sensei said, he went towards a big rock in the Training Ground, and picked up a bag "Rock Lee this is yours" he tossed the legendary leg warmers, I hope he knows bright colors aren't really my style "Kenji this is for you" my prayers were answered, it was just the ankle weights, each of them had fifty kg written in the back, meaning I will be training with an extra hundred kg from now on.
"Each time you get accustomed to the weight, we will increase it by two times, next time you'll have two hundred, the next four hundred, and so on, now put them on, we'll begin with stretches, then we'll run a few laps, to get you warmed up, we'll continue practicing the Leaf Whirlwind after that" Guy-Sensei gave the instructions, we were stretching on our own, when Neji arrived to the Training Ground and joined us.
If I was unable to make the Leaf Whirlwind as it supposed to be in normal conditions, now I can't even do the jump, meanwhile Lee's movements are just clumsy, if only I was permitted to open the First Gate, I will be clumsy, so instead of wasting my time trying to do something I won't be capable, I kept training my body, until I fell to the ground in exhaustion, I didn't last long, half the usual training time, and I was already struggling for air, so I did the only thing someone in my position can do, I used performance enhancing drugs, also known as Chakra Recovery Pills, I swallowed one, and ten seconds later, I was at full strength again, this is better that a certain brand that used to give you wings, and with the first part of the training done, It was time for Ninjutsu training.
We decided to start with Water Style, since we had a river near to us, it was easy to practice, the same can be said of Earth Style, but this won't be changing the terrain or had fatal consequences if we fail, the first was learning how to change the Chakra Nature, this isn't too difficult but is not easy, you need to concentrate, until it turns into something done without thinking, and the Chakra will change to your wishes, Neji said the Chakra even changed its shade by a bit depending on the Nature, my Chakra according to Neji is normally Indigo, it turns slightly blue with Water, purple with Earth and silver with Lighting.
The second part of leaning Ninjutsu is learning the hand seals, this is easier, they taught us the seals in the academy, now is just learning the order, with enough experience it can be omitted, and finally the last part is releasing the Chakra, if you use too little the Jutsu will fail, if you use too much Chakra the Jutsu will be unstable, and probably you'll end up hurting yourself, it requires fine control, that thanks to my training with the leafs is not a problem to me.
I was practicing the Wild Water Wave Jutsu, when I remember that certain elements have synergy and can be combined for a more powerful effect, like Wind and Fire, maybe I can do the same with Water and Lighting, and that was my new goal, combine the Wild Water Wave with the Discharge Jutsu to create a combination Jutsu, changing Natures is easy, using two Jutsus of different Natures is complicated, you need to force the Chakra to maintain two states at the same time, and the proper flow for each Jutsu, I kept failing for two hours, until I tried a different approach, instead of using two Jutsus one after the other, I will try to use them at the same time.
First, I molded the Chakra Nature for Lighting, focusing on my arms as the scroll suggested for the Discharge, then I molded the Chakra Nature for the Wild Water Wave, but instead of directing it to my mouth I made it follow the Discharge, it was growing unstable, so I decreased the Chakra of both Jutsus to half, attempting to balance each other, the Natures were merging with each others, and the Jutsus complementing instead of fighting, when I felt it was ready I released the Jutsu.
I was expecting the Wild Water Wave, surrounded by electricity from the Discharge, instead of that, I released nine lasers that moved at the speed of the Discharge Jutsu, but the manipulability of a water tentacle, not what I was expecting at all, it was more destructive than the Discharge and faster than the Wild Water Wave, I have no idea what I just did, but I was glad that I did it.
"Since when the Yūhi have a Kekkei Genkai?" Neji said, coming closer to me.
"To be honest, I was just experimenting with my Chakra, I wasn't expecting that" I replied, "How do you know it was a Kekkei Genkai and not just a new Jutsu?" I questioned him.
"Your Chakra changed, it wasn't blue or silver, it was closer to a metallic blue, every time your Chakra changes colors means there is a different Nature, and you were able to merge two Natures into one, that is definitely a Kekkei Genkai" He explained, clearly what happened with my Chakra.
"To my knowledge, no one in my family had a Kekkei Genkai, I have to ask my aunt, but for the moment maybe Guy-Sensei can identify the one I just manifested" I suggested, Neji nodded, and we suspended our practice for the moment looking for Guy-Sensei.
"Guy-Sensei, we need your help with something" I said when we found him with Lee walking with their hands, He remained like that waiting for the request, "it seems I have a Kekkei Genkai, we were wondering if you can help us to identify it" I said, he nodded, in a weird way, and I repeated the process, and the Lasers came out once again.
"Impressive, is really strange for someone to develop a Kekkei Genkai without inheriting from a bloodline, is not unheard of, all Kekkei Genkai had to start somewhere, in your case I have seen it a couple of times before, is the Storm Style that Kumo Ninjas posses in great quantities, it means someone had many children with many women at some point or is one of those Kekkei Genkai that just need the proper Nature and balance, and since you definitely don't come from a Kumo family I would say is the second, congratulations" Guy-Sensei explained with luxury of details.
Now I have a new power at my disposal, a Kekkei Genkai, the Storm Style, wait a second, Storm Style, Storm Flame, are my abilities being influenced by my Flames, or is it the other way around? Or maybe they come from my past lives, this is a mystery I can't figure out for now, but maybe if I recover all my memories I will.

Duskstar Before you jump and say Chakra is blue, in the manga everyone is suppose to have a different shade of Chakra, some are blue, some are red, and so on, I just added it can change depending on the Nature you use, hope you enjoyed it.
