Schreiben Sie eine RezensionGreat story. The author has woven a truly interesting and dreadfully beautiful world. The Dark Souls inspiration is palpable, but it's more about the vibes. It has an amazing plot. You'd be surprised at the amount of foreshadowing. It's really a masterpiece in the making. The only real problem is that the frequent chapter release prevents the author from giving the same amount of care to every chapter. Some padding is inevitable to keep up, but I assure you Shadow Slave is still very much worth it.
I dont think I need to say anything. The ratings, rankings and everything else says enough about this masterpiece.
My favorite thing about this masterpiece is the character development that sunny goes through along with his struggles. Although the 2nd nightmare was underwhelming due to the sheer impact forgotten shore left, it still is my favorite novel.

Spoiler enthüllenThe story flow is very interesting and engaging. like you would like to know what will happen next. A very good read.
Well I caught up with this masterpiece after around 50 days (while preparing for exams throughout)....and DAMN....THIS REALLY GOT ME ADDICTED😭. Quite beginner friendly, the update stability deserves a 6/5 actually, cliffhangers and plot twists are crazy...so is the foreshadowing, humour never disappoints, a sprinkling of cultured references and even some horror going hand in hand with aura moments. Overall, almost everything a well-balanced novel deserves...keep up the cool work Mr. G7 and do take some rest more often...wish u best of luck for future ✋🙂↕️🤚
drawn out would be the best word I can place it, progression is so exceptionally slow it feels like there's none at all.
you see the thing that i like about this novel its that every character is so human it doesn't feel like a perfect character if i put myself in place of sunny i can see my self doing the same actions as him thats what i like about sunny he is so real so human something that is very rare in any fiction now a days also the dynamic between him and the other main character is so good weather its the funny ones or the sad heart breaking ones the world in this novel is so interesting it almost remind me of when i was exploring ds1 world for the first time 9 years back i really like every aspect of this novel and as someone who reads alot and consumed many pieces of fiction from every genre i can say this easily top 3 only rivals lotm and crime and punishment
Here's a real review, not just "omg i love it, read it guys" and other glazing comments: As someone who's busy with life, reading 2000+ chapters (as of now) seemed like an unachievable thing, however i was pleasantly surprised by the fact that i literally BREEZED through this novel. Im not joking. It took me a few weeks to catch up. Great thing about shadow slave, is that even though the quantity is pretty huge, the quality remained throughout the novel (except for the later chapters but I'll get into it later). The beginning doesn't feel slow, we get introduced to sunny's character in a unique way, we discover his personality, which is consistent throughout the whole thing. However one thing i really enjoyed is that, not only do we see sunny's growth, we feel it too. we see how, with age, with time, with every struggle, he changes in a way that feels natural. His development is awesome to see. The main character is a solid, solid 9.9/10. The power system isn't absolutely unique, but the way author handles it really shines through. Just because there's a "spell" and we see the "cliché" pop ups when sunny gains "power" doesn't mean that the system is making him strong in exchange for something, it doesn't have a "game-like" feeling, like we see in other novels. Sunny has to put in REAL effort to gain power and that feels really genuine. He doesn't rely on the system, he relies on his mind (and goddamn i love his mind) and to be honest he CAN'T rely on the system without putting in work anyway lol. The system doesn't necessarily give the mc a humongous advantage over his peers, or an unrealistic buff, it doesn't feel like a cheat code, so I'd give it a 9/10. When it comes to the side characters, I'd say they're quite fleshed out too. They don't feel like stepping stones for the main character. They have their own goals, aspirations, motives, which makes them feel pretty important. They are essential to the plot, which is, unfortunately, kinda rare when it comes to web novels somehow, because in most of them the focus is usually soley on the mc. There are characters that, at first, look unimportant or simply feel tied to specific arcs, but later, we discover that they're actually reoccurring or hold importance. There's a big variety of characters, all rather well thought out I'd say, which is one of the reasons why shadow slave stands out to me. So I'd give the "side characters" part of the story a solid 9.8/10. When it comes to the plot, it's very, very well thought out (though the latest volume is a bit of a let down). I can't say too much about it, since I'll end up giving things away. But to me It's a very solid 9.9/10. (9 because some decisions the author makes feel a bit questionable sometimes) The pacing might be one of my favourite parts of ss. At some points it feels too stretched out, but this isn't a huge issue. It only happens once in a while. There aren't many flashbacks or things like that either. We only see some flashbacks a few hundred chapters in and then a 1000+ chapters in. So it's not a flashback heavy story AT ALL. Even though i liked the pacing, from an objective point of view, it's an 8/10. There aren't many pov's of other characters. we mostly see everything through the mc's pov, which is a really good thing in my opinion, because i know how boring it is to read chapter after chapter about a plot point no one cares about or a character no one really feels a huge connection to. this part is where the "problem" comes in though, the latest chapters have more pov's, which made me annoyed sometimes. However this is DEFINITELY NOT a reason why someone shouldn't read shadow slave. it does offer perspective, yeah, but sometimes it feels too stretched out. When it comes to "suggestive" stuff, im happy to say that the mc is not a pervert. Yeah, he makes a comment here and there about a few people at the start BUT that's only because he's like 16 in the beginning. AND mind you, in the first chapter we see that sunny hasn't even had real coffee before, so imagine awakening and seeing attractive people all around you lol. Of course he was gonna have some thoughts. Im happy to inform you, that the mc looking at people and having "unholy" thoughts barely lasts a few dozen chapters (which is an overstatement too), afterall he's almost constantly in danger and doesn't have time to think ab that shit anyway. I'm also really, really glad that the female characters in the story aren't sexualized. Like, I'd even say that fan service is basically non-existent. Objectification isn't "cute" guys. All in all, I'd give this a solid 9.8/10, because it definitely deserves it. I really recommend it!!
Been reading up to chapter 1180. It’d be interesting if Mordret ended up as the MC—he’s decisive, calculating, and totally clear about his goals. The current MC, though great, often seems distracted by stuff that doesn’t really matter to him. I mean, he risked his life and danced on the edge just to protect a civilian, which isn’t bad, but it's kind of boring. It’d be cool if the MC had that adept attitude—caring, but not overextending himself for others, like thinking about them every hundred chapters just to remind us of their importance. Hell, even Nephis’s motive is better—she’s focused on her own path.
Shadow Slave is the kind of story that pulls you in without you even realizing it. Sunny is one of the best-written protagonists out there—flawed, cunning, and constantly evolving. The world feels alive, the mysteries keep you hooked, and the power system is actually well thought out. Once you start reading, good luck stopping.
Bem, shadow slave é minha primeira obra que entro nesse universo de novels, e sendo um leitor avulso de livros de alta fantasia e de ficção científica. Shadow Slave é uma obra magnífica que deixa o leitor intrigado para querer ler mais.
Very addicting novel, hard to put down. At the current state of the novel at 2000 Chapters, there's quite a bit of bloat I find frustrating at times. The novel can potentially pass 5000 chapters as the novel flips between perspectives and time frames worst then kid on a sugar high at times. But if you manage to bear through it, the story is truly addicting.
