Sitting at the edge of a forest near the Tepes faction territory I looked out and had my nose upturned.
The place is shrouded in deep black mist, even though its the middle of the day.
I know vampires can't take sunlight, but come on, just looking at the place is making me depressed.
Our territory is protected my a sun blocking mist barrier as well. But our mist is way, way lighter than compared to that of the Tepes and Carmilla factions.
No wonder Romania has such high poverty, murder, and famine rates. With residences like these racist bigots living in country, who needs outside enemies to attack?
This is just another reason I am glad my mother isn't like those animals and chose to leave this place before I was born.
Because otherwise I would have escaped on my own, or led a revolution just like Spartacus. Only unlike him I wouldn't die, no I would live to see the end of my work.
Hearing someone approaching me from behind I turned around to see a man.
He looks to be in his twenties. He is tall, standing at 190 cm. He has dark maroon hair at the front of his head parted, while the rest of his hair color is dark brown, with a single twisted braid running down his back. He is dressed in tactical gear, and also has a first-class vampire weapon strapped to his side.
This man's name is Crowley Eusford.
Who has quite the interesting past. Before he was turned into a vampire he was an exorcist working for the church during the Crusades. From what he's told me the few times we've talked about his past he was betrayed by some of his comrades and left for dead.
That's when a vampire he was hunting came along and decided to give him the worst middle finger any devout exorcist could suffer. He turned him into a vampire.
Then Crowley became his slave for a couple of decades, doing things he doesn't want to talk about.
But after some time Crowley found a way to break free of his sire's control and kill him. That's when he was freed of his obligations and began roaming the world, until he ran into supporters of my mother.
Since then he has served in our faction with honor and distinction, earning himself the ranking of a seventh progenitor.
Oh and was to what vampire weapons are, they are weapons specially crafted by the progenitor faction using alchemy and ancient vampire magic. These weapons drink the blood of their wielder, not only increasing their own strength, but the strength of their user in tandem.
I have no clue how they actually work, but I do know it's badass.
Its also gives us a leg up on the Tepes and Carmilla faction since no matter how hard they try they can't reproduce our factions vampire weapons for themselves.
Which I know definitely pisses them off.
I can just see their pissed off races in my mind right now, it's wonderful to imagine.
Snapping out of my thoughts I focused back on Crowley. "Yes?" I asked him.
"Young master Kufa, it's time." He said.
"Understood." I said. I then stood up and followed behind him into the forest for a bit.
Eventually we came to a clearing. A clearing filled with soldiers, and also Veronica, Dominque, Chess, and Basteya.
Once we arrived I walked into the middle of the clearing, and everyone quieted down and looked at me.
I am the one who put this operation together after all.
I also told my mother about his particular plan of mine ages ago, and she lent her full support. I wasn't going to keep something like this from her, not when it could affect our entire faction.
That's the reason she lent me three top-class and highly skilled progenitors for this mission.
She really is a great mother.
"Everyone, we are now about to begin Operation: Coup." I spoke. "It's actually very simple. For the past few years I have been riling up one of the top members of the Tepes faction, and today I will help him start a coup against the Tepes ruling family. This in turn will cause a commotion. Your job is to help the defectors we have been in contact with inside the faction all this time escape without injury, while also covering me. I thank you for this. Any questions?"
No one spoke a good.
"Good. Then let's get started." I said.
That's when I opened a magic circle at my side and took out a black cloak and all white mask and quickly put them on, everyone else following my example.
Once everyone was geared up, we moved out.
It's a lovely day to start a civil war after all.

(3rd Person: POV)
Sitting in a room with expensive items scattered about it, a vampire male sat a desk, a wine glass filled with rich and thick blood, gracing his left hand.
This man's name is Joffrey Lannister.
He is a pure-blood noble vampire with the rank of Marquis who comes from the ancient house Lannister, a house that has stood within the Tepes vampire faction for generations.
Joffrey is an ambitious man. Just like his father before him.
He wants power, more power than he currently has. He hungers for it. Joffrey hungers to rule.
That's why he ingratiated himself with the current lord Tepes centuries ago, in hopes of stealing the throne from the man.
But the current lord Tepes was no fool.
He was cunning and ruthless, and a man Joffrey would rather not cross since he knew he would probably lose.
This and several other factors is why Joffrey made the decision become a close-aid to the current lord Tepes and bide his time.
And Joffrey finally saw that time approaching with the birth of lord Tepes children.
They were nothing like him at all.
Each of his three sons were morons, especially the oldest one. The whiny brat Marius. As for the last one Joffrey barely acknowledged her existence, since she was no threat to him in the grand scheme of his plans.
For lord Tepes last child was not only female, but also possessed human blood.
A true weakling in Joffrey's eyes. Actually to him she did look appealing.
That's why he is rolling around the idea in his head of taking her as his concubine once he becomes the lord of the Tepes faction after snuffing out the rest of her family.
Joffrey licked his lips at just the thought of putting Valerie in her place.
But he quickly refocused since a very important guest was going to be showing up in a few moments.
Joffrey had no idea of the person's real identity. He didn't know if they were male or female. All he knew them by was a name.
Dio.
Dio had made contact with Joffrey just over four years ago. At first he wanted nothing to do with them, but once Dio told him that they could make him the new lord of the Tepes faction he got curious.
But Joffrey didn't get to be in his position by being a fool.
So he decided to test Dio.
He asked for confidential information about another noble family that had been a thorn in his side for years.
Dio delivered the information on the family in just under a week. Along with so much more.
Joffrey couldn't believe the information Dio had provided him with. Bank accounts, documents of scandal, and even illegitimate children born out of wedlock, who if brought to light could ruin an entire family's reputation.
Once Joffrey saw this, he didn't have any more doubts about Dio. He decided to go into business with them.
Since then Dio had provided Joffrey with tons of useful information that allowed him to increase the power of him and his loyal followers, while also damaging his competition, and inadvertently the Tepes family itself.
And today is the day, everything was going to come together.
Today Joffrey will finally launch his all-out assault and take what is his. The throne.
Just thinking about that made him grin like a madman.
A figure entered Joffrey's private study putting him on guard.
Turning towards the figure he saw it was Dio.
"Right on time." Joffrey mused.
"Whatever." Dio said. There voice muffled by their mask. Reaching into their cloak Dio tossed several documents onto Joffrey's desk. "There is it. The keys to the kingdom so to speak. The movement of the castle trips, the list of officers loyal to the current family, even the schedules of the Tepes family themselves. With that our business is concluded."
Dio turned to leaved.
"Wait."
Only for them to stop when Joffrey called out to them.
"What?" Dio asked.
"Why have you been helping me? Joffrey asked Dio.
"I hate the Tepes family." Dio said. "They took something very important to me long ago, and I want to see them all burn in hell. That's why I decided to help you, since I know you will be a better leader than that trash. The kind of leader that will finally bring us victory over those high and mighty bitches in the Carmilla faction."
"Yes, I will do just that." Joffrey said with conviction. "Leave it to me."
"Will do." Dio said.
And with that they finally took their leave.
Meanwhile Joffrey started looking over the documents Dio provided him with.
Then once he was done he was going to march on the Tepes castle.
Then he would sit on the throne and rule them all.
He would be king.

(MC: POV)
Leaning against a wall for support in a dark alley within Tepes faction territory I put up a silencing spell and spent a good fifteen minutes laughing my ass off.
"Hahaha, that fucking idiot!" I cried. "Oh this is too much!" I said in between laughs.
I even coughed a bit.
But eventually I stopped.
"Man I haven't laughed that hard in a long time." I murmured to myself.
Finally after I got my breathing under control I stood to my feet and took down the silencing spell. Then it was all business again.
Phase one has been complete.
Now it's time for phase two.
------------------------------------------
(3rd Person: POV)
Sitting in his room inside castle Tepes, Marius Tepes had a dark smile on his face.
For he had just learned something no one else in the entire faction knew.
The disgusting half-breed that people called his sister had an incredible power within her. The power of a sacred gear, but not just any sacred gear, a Longinus of all things.
Being a researcher and student of history Marius knew about the sacred, and their classes.
That's why he was shocked when he discovered Valerie possessed something that had the potential to kill a god.
It was about a week ago Marius made this discover.
The little bitch had helped her weakling friend, another of her kind escape the territory.
But Marius knew he wouldn't get far, not with the vampire hunters constantly patrolling their borders.
So he put it out of his mind, knowing the girly little shit was probably dead by now anyway.
Moving on, after Marius's father discovered his sisters action he "disciplined" her before tossing her into a darker dungeon that before.
Something Marius relished in.
He had always been the one to say that the thing had too much freedom and needed to put under tighter lock and key.
Honestly before the discovery of Valerie's power Marius just wanted to kill her and be done with it.
But his father denied his request every time.
Lord Tepes said that is they killed Valerie, a member of their own family who was half-human then the others like her would rise up in rebellion, since they knew that if the leading family of the Tepes faction could kill their own child, then what's to stop the other family's from doing the same.
Also, a lost of the dhampirs of the current generation are being born with sacred gears. Another concern that is one of them got a powerful sacred gear and rebelled, then the vampires might be helpless to stop them.
Marius hated that he was denied his pleasure, but he knew every word his father spoke was the truth.
Which is why he backed off.
But with his new knowledge, he was about to change everything. By harnessing Valerie's power as his own he would get rid of his father and claim his birthright upon the throne. Then once he accomplished this he would deal with those Carmilla faction sluts.
And then finally he would destroy those race traitors in the Progenitor faction.
"How dare they?!" Marius yelled in anger.
How he hated the Progenitor faction with a passion. But as quickly as he got angry he calmed himself.
After all he had a weapon of unimaginable power in his grasp now, so he could afford to let those mongrels survive a little bit longer. At least until he learned how to harness said power.
But once he did nothing would stand in his way.
He would reign supreme over all.
Marius became so very happy just picturing his new future.
But he was knocked out of his musing when he suddenly felt multiple magical signatures, and heard multiple explosions all over the castle and its grounds.
"What the hell is that?!" Marius shouted.
He had no clue it was his end, before he even began.

(MC: POV)
Once the show started it was easy for me to make my way into the castle.
Then I skipped right towards the dungeons, killing any noble-blood pieces of shit I saw.
As to how I know the layout of the Tepes castle, during my missions I captured quite a few of their faction members and worked my torture skills on them.
I also got information using my factions own information network from defectors working within the Tepes faction itself.
These guys really don't realize just how much everyone hates their guts, even their own people.
Ah well, better for my plan anyway.
Arriving at the dungeon I went straight up to the first guard I saw.
"Who are you?" He asked me.
"I'm batman." I said I then punched him in the face and he flew back into the wall.
Once that happened I simply closed the distance and put my hand around his neck, and started producing ice.
'Ten seconds." I said in a now serious tone. "You have ten seconds to tell me what I want to know, our else your throat is going to feel like a desert. Understand me?"
"Yes!" He shouted.
"Good. Now tell me, where is the Tepes girl."
"You mean that little half-breed b-Agh!"
I froze his left arm partially before tearing it off.
"Language." I told him. "Now then let's try this again. Where is she?"
"In the deepest level of the cells." He said.
"Thank you." I told him. "Now enjoy hell." I said. I then froze his entire body within second and crushed his neck, his ice pieces scattering all over the ground.
Once that was done I headed straight to the lowest levels of the dungeons, and then started looking through each cell one by one.
Until finally I found her.
A young girl about a year older than me, sitting in a cell. She was at the back of the cell, her legs pulled up to her chest, a semi-dead look in her eye.
'Found you.' I thought. I then unlocked the door and stepped into the cell.
As soon as I did Valerie flinched.
"It's ok, I won't hurt you." I told her.
"Heh, I've heard that before." She is in a sardonic manner.
"Seriously, I'm not going to do anything to you. I am like you after all." I told her.
"You can stop lying." Valerie said.
"I am not." I told her. "And if you come with me I can take you to see your friend Gasper."
'Gasper's alive!" Valerie shouted, coming towards me out of the shadows at the back of the cell.
Once she did I could see the bruises and cuts on her body.
It made me lose control of my power for a moment, seeing her treated like this.
But I quickly reigned myself in, knowing that her so called "family" is going to suffer much worse after today.
Valerie looked at me after I released my power. "You are just like me." She said.
I guess she can at least sense my energy is similar to hers. The cloak and mask should make that impossible, but I guess my full strength overrode that function.
"Yes I am just like you." I said. "I am also from the progenitor faction. Have you heard of them?"
"Yes." Valerie said. "The maids who were nice to me told me about them. A place where people like me aren't thought of as nothing but trash."
"It's true what they told you." I said. "And I can take you there. All you need to do is trust me." I told her, reaching out my hand.
"Is that where Gasper is?" She asked me.
"No." I told her. "But he is in a safe place. And if you come with me I promise you will be able to see him again one day. However not right now. Too many people will be after you with your power."
"You know about that?" Valerie asked me.
"I do. But don't worry, unlike that cunt of a brother I don't need your power. I have my own." I told her. "And once again, no will force you to do anything at all. But unless you learn yo control your power people will use you as a tool. And I know you have had enough of that. So then Valerie, what do you say?"
"Yes." Valerie said. "Please spirit me away."
"Your wish is my command princess." I told her.
I then walked over to her leg and snapped the chain on it. After that I picked Valerie up in a princess carry and started making my way out of the castle and out of the territory, no one being any the wiser.
Eventually I made it out of the territory.
When I did Valerie marveled at everything around us.
"Is that the sun?" She asked me.
"It sure is." I told her.
Since this is the first time she is seeing it as a free person.
A truly magical moment.
