Callum gave a dirty look. "Don't be ridiculous. Signing on a piece of paper doesn't mean marriage. A marriage is when you take vows with the person you want to spend the rest of your life with. In the world's eyes, those signed papers fate seal your fate with me but we won't be married for real. Once I take care of the little shit, we will get an annulment. As simple as that." 

How nice would it be if it was as simple as that? 

"I don't understand you, " Calliope whispered. "You said I owe you my life. Then, you ask me to marry you in the most fucked up way possible and then you give me a way out of the marriage. What's your intention?" 

"Maybe, I'm just after your wealth, " Callum suggested with a smile. 

"Too bad, " Calliope tsked with a sad look on her face. "Starting this morning, I'm not even a Wilding. I will just be Calliope Rosemary. I don't even own the clothes I wear. "
