Kapitel 8: Chapter 08

|mc pov|

'This is annoying? Your telling me everyone knows this body? How long has it been killing in this area, with out zaraki noticing?' I thought as i walked do a dirt road, run down wooden houses were everywhere. Most in the state of barely being a house.

The air here was different, somehow it was stail like the collective, depression, anger and the anguish of being in such a place actually effected the air. Dust blowing as the sounds of children stopped as i walked down the road.

'In this place, most of these souls aren't even actually family. Your put in to a area based on the souls worth or something like that. So families are split, once coming here.. even if it is at the same time, there is a high chance they will be moved into differnt area's so they would never know or see there loved ones again.' Looking at the eyes that looked at me through cracks in the doors, even window blinds that were broken.

'Doesn't help, that I'm carrying this guy on my back.' Turning my head over to my shoulder where zaraki sat, seeing him still knocked out and losing blood.

I watched as people pulled their children in, not making eye contact as they whispered to their kids, making the kids have a frightened expression. Watching there face of fear, yet a little bit of respect that only confused me for a little.

"Alright, there is no need to come out all at once.. I need someone to heal this boy.. anyone?" Becoming a little annoyed, I spoke as i sat in the middle of the road. Turning my closed eyes around as I saw no one come out of there homes, hearing whispers but no movement.

"I won't ask again, or we can do this another way.." I said, I didn't want to hurt them but I raised my spiritual pressure. The whole district shook as their children's faces became pale, there eyes watering as they started to shake more and more. I kept it at a level that wouldn't hurt anyone, permanently. Truly as i looked at the houses again.

"Please! Stop this.. already, my family.. your hurting them." I heard a females voice behind me, turning as I watched a young girl crawl to me. Her face was fair, even with a worn out look, seeing bruises she tried to cover and the stressed look in her strained eyes. Her body shaking as she tried to get her words out. Her face almost touching the mud below as I stopped and walked to her.

"I am sorry.. I only want to get help for this boy." I said, placing my hand on her shoulder. She looked up at me with hesitation as she thought she would see my smile, the smile that saved many here if not all but was burned into there brains by the screams that followed. This time though there was no smile, and only a look of what she, could only describe as him trying to look apologetic.

"He is losing a lot of blood, we will need to move him and lay him down somewhere so i can check." After seeing zaraki bleed all over, watching my face as I tried to show her I was no threat. She opened her mouth and offered to help me, feeling the weight on her shoulders gone.

"You know healing arts?" I asked, looking at the woman's bandaged hands.

"I can't do miracles but.. but I will try my, my best to heal him." The woman said, standing as she pointed the way to her home. Seeing her hand shake a little as she did. I grabbed it gently stopping her as I walked forward.

'What happened to that monster? The one who sat in the forest and waited for prey.' Feeling the soft touch and how I tried to comfort her, looking at my child like height. She realized now I was just that, still a child. Maybe I had no one, and only had a sword like the boy on my shoulder, maybe all I knew was how to fight for myself.

Walking near her home I saw as shadows moved away from the door, noticing the home was larger then some others. Seeing a few less holes as I opened the door, catching an eye full when I finally entered. It was a run down place, mat's laid about for sleeping, along with holes in the walls that looked made of stone at least. Looking at the run down table and what looked like it was meant to be a kitchen. Watching 2 kids move into the corner of the room, trying to get as far away from me as possible. Only standing when they saw the girl come behind me.

"It's ok.. there's nothing wrong, aiko, koro.. I'm sorry I scared you." The girl said, walking in to the home slowly as she bent down, trying to calm down the girl and boy. They came closer and grabbed on to her, holding her tight, she was bigger then them so they tried to hide themselves behind her.

"Where do i put him?" I asked, smiling at the kids but getting right to the point. Looking at a large door down a hallway, seeing it was solid, unlike most things in this house and heard movement.

"R-right here.. is fine." The girl pointed to the mat that was on a taller elevation, watching as I looked at the door in the back.

"Aiko, koro, can.. can you both go get water.. I need.." the girl tried to say as the two kids froze.

"We can't.. y-y-you know what will happen.. T-T-they shouldn't be.." the girl aiko spoke in a small voice full of fear as she looked at the girl, gripping her rag like clothes tight.

"Just do as I asked.. please aiko, koro.. for me." The girl said, patting there heads, they had sad like smiles, as she nodded urging them to go, they both nodded back and reluctantly ran out of the door. Being careful not to slam it.

"What was that? Is everything ok?" A mans kind of deep, yet gentle voice said. Coming from the hallway as the door was now open, Looking at the girl and the boys bloody body. He opened his mouth until looking over at me, leaning back on the table as I tilted my head.

"My friend is hurt, this girl said she would help me? is there something wrong?" I spoke, turning my head to him with a smile as his eyes locked on to me. He was tall, pale skinned, and had blonde hair. His blue eyes shined behind his glasses, pushing them up on the bridge of his nose. Seeing his clothes that were far nicer then the kids here and his hands covered in gloves.

"No there is no problem, i myself take care of these kids. They had no where else to go, so when I was sent here I took them in, I will not turn a child away in need so please don't worry. She is learning from me to be a healer, I'm sure she can save this boy." The man said, every word held deep emotion and concern.

'Sometimes I'm glad, that I'm a snake.' Asking no questions of why he dressed like this, why he was here or anything as I nodded and looked to the girl. Seeing her put on a smile as he patted her head and turned back to the hallway.

"I will make preparation to help if it is needed, I hope it is enough.." the man said, his face full of worry for Zaraki, turning around to the dark of the hallway and walked away. Moving his glasses as his hand moved in front of his face.

Far out in a forest be on the districts of the soul society, breathing from a horse could be seen. Its vapor drifting as a man sat atop it, his face covered in shadows as he looked out in front of him. Watching as silhouettes walked out from the trees beside him, looking down at them as he moved forward a little.

"Where is Kain?" The mans deep voice rang out as he looked back at a figure.

"He did not return like the others, he is probably.." the figures voice was smooth yet still a mans voice, he shook when the man spoke to him, hearing the weight behind each word. Falling to one knee as he felt his gaze pass over him with little care.

"Probably.. indulging himself with his little game, send someone out to find him, now. I grow tired of his.. hobby." The mans deep voice said as he moved forward, watching shadows disappear as he did. He looked up to the sky with a strange look as he felt something wasn't right. While a blue light pulsed from his hand, moving the horse as they moved deeper into the forest.
