Kapitel 97: The Sacred Bear

"People say," said Andhika, "the bear is very sensitive to a fishy smell, like the smell of blood."

"Y—You want to use me as bait?" Aryan's eyeballs even flashed to hear the words of the Prince of Uttara.

"Hey," Andhika said with a serious look at Aryan. "I won't let my sister's beloved pariah die, you understand?"

After that, Andhika looked at one of the royal soldiers and gave a head gesture. The soldier approached, then grabbed a pottery jug that he had brought along.

"Pour the eel's blood on him!" Andhika ordered.

Aryan could only take a deep breath. This is not a pleasant thing to do. But he had no other choice because he had already agreed to all this to Princess Andira before.

"Get down!" said the soldier to Aryan.

Aryan got off his horse. And from the back of his horse, the soldier poured the contents of the jug, a thick red liquid with a rancid smell, blood from the eels that Prince Andhika had previously prepared.
