"There's no smell?" Isabel Smith moved closer to Percy Stanton's face and sniffed, saying, "I can't smell it. Open your mouth, let me smell it."
Percy opened his mouth wide, and Isabel quickly shoved the spoonful of medicinal juice into his mouth, placed the spoon back in the bowl, and lifted his chin with her hand, making him swallow the medicine down his throat with a gulp.
Realizing that he had been deceived, Percy snorted and turned his face away, waiting for Isabel to coax him.
When he woke up that day, he faintly heard Isabel telling him that she had agreed to be with him. But after he woke up, she never mentioned it again. He was not sure if it was his illusion or reality, and he did not dare to ask, fearing that she would still be concerned about her parents' blood feud.
Even though she was right in front of him, taking care of him day and night, his heart was always in turmoil, feeling that Isabel might leave him at any moment.
